Removal of date archive pages on the blog
Hi Andrew, The best practice would be to come up with search engine/user friendly new URLs each corresponding to the month/year blog posts and then redirect them via 301. Essentially, you will be implementing a one-to-one or page-to-page 301. Redirecting a whole bunch of old pages to the homepage via 301 is not recommended especially if these old pages have some organic or referral traffic coming in. This would have a negative impact from your user experience perspective as well as from an SEO standpoint. A blanket 301 approach (bunch of pages being redirected to a single page, in this case the homepage) is the last resort that you should think about. Please do not even think of letting those old pages giving up an HTTP head status code 404. This is a big NO, NO. If I were you, I would have come up with new pages (URLs) for each of those old pages and redirected those via 301 to the corresponding new ones. Best regards, Devanur Rafi

ECommerce Filtering Affect on SEO
Andie - We work on a lot of eCommerce sites with similar left-hand navigation filters. I think that the thing to keep in mind is that these pages are often like search results pages, and require a human to choose options to create those URLs. As a result, they shouldn't be pages that a typical crawl bot would find. That said, each eCommerce system acts differently, and it's possible that permanent links are created that are added to a site map. Or, it's possible that Google's bots are starting to check boxes on eCommerce filters to better mimic human behavior. After all, Google has created self-driving cars. The data driven approach: I would check to see if any of these pages are showing up in Google Webmaster tools to see if it is, indeed, an issue, before trying to go crazy about duplicate content. Hope this helps, -- Jeff

Do organic penaltys affect paid prominence?
Ppc and organic are completely seperate. I have a client that got hit really bad from panda, so they started ppc while they cleaned up their website content...their Ppc ads were in position 1, while their organic listings were below page 5. I didn't notice low quality scores, or high cpc, from their Adwords campaigns, so I don't think ppc and organic results are related at all

"Powered by SEOMOZ" at the bottom of White Label reports?
If your target market is SEO professionals, which seems to be the case with your pricing structure, then this logic is flawed. If you are competing directly with SEO professionals for relationships with the end users, then SEO consultants should be sure to have their eyes open when using your products.

Footer Navigation
Do you mean to say that link juice is lost from one page to another page. I thought that when one page links to another page, the pagerank of the original page is preserved, while it flows to second page..
