Can anyone recommend a company / agency who provide a specialist solution for on site search?

I have a client who is using Google Site Search and is not too happy with the performance of it,

Hello,

I've been using the above more and more - with some great results.

I have just run a report for a brand term and that brand has the new style sitelinks - 12 in total.

So the output from the Keyword Difficulty Tool is focussed solely on the main url and then 9 sitelinks, rather than 10 different domains.

Is there anyway around this?  What do people think I should do?

Is it:

a) ok to use the output or

b) because the output is skewed to one domain is the data not robust enough or...

c) something else??

Hi,

I think that accents do matter and can have a significant effect on rankings.

I would suggest that you optimise different pages of your site for different variotions of the keyword (for example one with accent and one without accent), where the original content is a good fit for the keyword.

This will then mean that you can broaden the range of keywords you rank for,

If I were wanted to get a video to appear in the SERP's then my predisposition would be to use Youtube against the other services and to optimise the data filed that you have control of.

I agree with what people have said about the perception of videos on Youtube vs services such as Vimeo, Wistia etc...

I use the free version of xml-sitemaps.com and it works really well - would recommend it.

I have a few sites that I have set up using Wordpress - I always use Hostgator - it's cheap - quick - seems reliable and they have that great Fantastico Deluxe thing where you can easily upload Wordpress without using FTP and that kind of thing.  Always runs very smoothly and I've never had problems!
