RE: Getting Google Authorship to Work

RE: Anyone else seeing increased duplication of domains since Penguin?
Yeah I have noticed the same, while searching on a keyword "sugar daddy oregon" on google.com, I noticed the SEO work I had done secured the top 3 positions for seekingarrangement.com
This only happened after those major updates.

RE: Getting Google Authorship to Work
You can check your rich snippets here: http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/richsnippets?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.touristisrael.com%2Fneve-tzedek-tel-aviv%2F354%2F
It's is working! You may have to wait until Google picks it up.

RE: Twitter Personas
Then it is not a twitter persona
which is the act of playing a social role. In this case you are just playing a natural social role and should have no problem interacting with said designers.Anyways I looked at your twitter profile, I think it would be fine. Since you describe yourself as a Web Designer on here, you should also describe that on your twitter profile. From a professional stand point, using your personal account will put more of a face on your account when you socialize with users. I think @justinmarch would be better off than using an account like @BestWebDesignerEvar.
As long as the method of approaching someone clearly outlines your objective, you should have no problem. Don't lead people to figure it out for themselves. We are all lazy and the amount of people that will research you because you did a @reply to something they said will be far less than a direct message complimenting on their design work that you took time researching.

RE: Where is Bing traffic?
Well like I said it depends on what keywords you target... So if those keywords are ranking high on BING but not providing good traffic, then it is a waste of time. Until you get top positions in BING, then you cannot know for sure. Here is BING's keyword tool.
In the last 6 months the word "Google" was searched in bing 1.3 billion times.

RE: Redirect link from a particular domain
Yeah I got lost as to what you were trying to do man. Good that you figured it out!

RE: Three Way Linking after Penguin
I don't think you will be penalized for reaching out to fellow industry webmasters and reciprocating links. Although the reciprocal links may not help you
some say that they nullify the link juice. But I hope that it does help you! When you say three way linking, can you further explain?
Way back in the day, it was said to do a 3 way link like this.
You have site A,B,C(A) is the site you want to perform well. (B) & (C) will just be helpers
Reciprocal link between sites (A) & (B), (B) & (C), and add just one link to site (A) from site (C)I don't recommend doing this though! It may get you penalized. O.o

RE: Where is Bing traffic?
First of all, that article is really old. Second her source was from a study of about 10 million U.S. internet users.. probably more realistically people over 60 that are using Internet explorer. (JK)
I would find a more updated article like this one: http://www.zdnet.com/google-dominates-u-s-share-stats-in-june-bing-up-yahoo-down-7000000717/
Published July 11th, Bing only holds 15% market share. which is drastically far away from 30% and way way far away from Google's 65%
Since there are fewer searches performed on Bing, not all search queries will be made, hence why you may only see a few hits to none. It's the same for my sites as well.
Hope this answers your question! and if so, make sure to mark it answered
Thank you -
RE: Redirect link from a particular domain
May need clarification, but are you saying..
you have site abc.com redirecting to site 123.com? Also, site abc.com has a really nice link pointing to it which gets lots of visits.
Since the content on site abc.com is different than the content on site 123.com. The link is related to talking about letters.. but instead you point them to the domain that try's to sell them numbers.. then yes you will naturally have a bad bounce rate. Especially if your redirect is a slow process, people will notice you are making them go to different websites.
You could redirect the traffic from site abc.com to another domain using .htaccess, honestly I would restore your site abc.com and give the visitors what they are looking for!
If I have this mixed up, let me know! and I'll try to re answer. But if I did answer your question, please mark it answered

RE: Does Google index url with hashtags?
the search operator "inurl:#" did not return any results.
check to make sure that your URLs follow the RFC-3986 standard for URIs. This document (recomended by Google) might give insight on using the # (Number Sign)
If you arne't trying to create a uniform resource indentifier, but just a uniform resource locator.. this site may help: http://www.blooberry.com/indexdot/html/topics/urlencoding.htm
Hope this helps, and if your question was answered please mark as answered

RE: WIll Splash Page Triggered Only for iPhones Hurt SEO
For our customers here at ebizautos, we offer a special mobile page that is hosted on our .mobi site. For example, universalautonv.com ranks really well in las vegas for it's search terms. When you find the result in the SERP's and visit with a mobile devices, it get forwarded to a different domain.
It has not affected out clients ability to rank!
Hope this helps, and if I answered your question please mark this post/question as answered

RE: Shopping comparison sites for ecommerce Seo
In a way you would benefit from being on such sites because of possible click through's to your website. However, being on those sites may or may not give you a better ranking. It depends how your website is displayed and linked to. As if it is followed or no followed.

RE: Website redesign testing environment
If they put up new content, and that content is the same you will be using.. make sure they take it down soon after you approve of the design. Otherwise I don't think there will be any problem for your website.
Only thing I can think of would be duplicate content.

RE: Annex city & citations
Make sure all your business directory listings are consistent with the new location. This means Yelp, City Search, BING, Yahoo ect..
A good service to look into is yext.com, a bit pricey but it will make managing somewhere around 35 websites like the ones above, a breeze. You have control over the details all in one place, making it way easier than keeping track yourself.
There are other services like localeeze, we have used them but is not as effective & takes a while for the listings to be updated. Both these services should help with SEO rankings in the local listing area. Hopefully Google will pick it up and display the correct address. I have heard of similar problems with businesses changing locations and Google displaying the old address. I would definitively ask the post office to make the correct changes as well with any phone companies you use under your business.
Hope this Answered your question! If not, I will gladly try to answer anymore questions you have on this matter.

RE: Twitter Personas
To interact with designers, I would not think you should fake being one. Not sure how you would pull it off.. but I would show interest in their work to interact with them. I doubt they will follow you just for claiming you are a designer.. Heck they might think Huh? this dude is going to rip off my ideas. Maybe you could look at their personal sites and offer some SEO critiques for exchange of some Design critiques, that may build a relationship between the two of you!
I'd say the best way to represent a quality twitter profile is to be yourself, of coarse with objectives in mind.. whether it be the sheer number of followers or the highly targeted group of relationships. Do exactly that of a person that you would follow yourself.
If you do go on to creating specific accounts you could use tools like 'tweek deck' or 'hootsuite'! those are really good for managing multiple twitter accounts.
Hope this helps and good luck!!

RE: Can you appear in both Google local and universal results on the page?
I just did a search "pizza las vegas" and I see Metropizza.com in universal rankings and in the local.

RE: Can you appear in both Google local and universal results on the page?
One of my clients have before but it is rare I think (explanation below). Often they would bounce around from being in a good local spot and then the next week they would be in a universal position. There was only one time that I noticed that they were ranking for local and shortly after a few spots down in the universal.
The swapping back and forth phase was consistent from week to week for about 3 months.
