Is Yellowbook.com gone?
Hi Adam! Yellowbook still exists and is accessible from the US. I'm sorry but I'm not sure why it wouldn't be so from your location. As for workarounds, I can suggest two: Infogroup feeds Yellowbook, as far as I know, so if you have something you need to do on Yellowbook, you might want to take that up with Infogroup. If you need a citation built only on Yellowbook, get someone in the US to do it for you. Of course, if the business you're promoting is in Israel and there is some reason Yellowbook isn't accessible to anyone from there, having a citation on that platform would be of questionable value. Hope this helps!

Should Every GMB Page Have it's own email address?
Miriam is dead on, I would like to add one other thing to consider. You can still be an owner, transfer primary ownership to the actual owner and that will leave you as an owner. Another consideration, if for any reason your account was to become compromised (flagged as spammy for instance) then all your GMB listings would become suspended since you are the primary owner of all the listings. In the case of a soft suspension, you would have to reverify all your listings.

Should I get an SSL if my non-SSL site is ranking well?
Google Chrome shows "not secure" today forms don't matter If you look at the example website it does not have a certificate or is it using HTTPS Because lawyers websites are considered "money or life" sites they hold more weight with Google & the public. meaning they need to be secure and trustworthy. Hopefully, he is already updated his site if not make sure he does. https://www.aleydasolis.com/en/search-engine-optimization/http-https-migration-checklist-google-docs/ Respectfully, Thomas xhTcuxV.png

How accurate are google keyword estimates for local search volume?
Hey Adam, That's so funny because I use your basic model to predict my local volumes too. Most of the stuff I do is local and because it's also pretty new or technical Like 'Plexr Plasma Surgery' or ' Vaser Liposuction' etc, it can be a real struggle because sometimes it's not even there in the indexed words from the big tools. But you can augment your data with more sources. For example looking inside search console at the amount of traffic a certain keyword is getting and then looking at the average position CTR's for that particular word. This is a very rough guide. But then you can add another data dimension which is looking at the the national rankings for more obscure keywords with your favourite competitive analysis tool and then figure out almost what the 'total search' is for that word and divvy it up using rough data from Google trends for your location. Google trends is your friend because If I can see that 'Botox' has a certain amount of national volume (probably pretty accurate) then I can compare it to 'facial filler' and model the two because people who have heard of Botox will also have heard of filler and are in the rough same demographic. So it's all guesswork but educated guesswork. And I recently predicted traffic for an 'Icon' white spot treatment page this way. (this gets the patchy flouride spots off your teeth after braces.) I made my page and used the main Icon website visitors from SEM Rush - minus dentists to give me customers actually searching and then used google trends to figure out how much of that pie Liverpool was going to get as opposed to London or the rest of the world and the results are pretty accurate. Like spookily accurate. I'm certainly not a mathematician but I can use a calculator and my gut feelings. I think It's from forecasting in business (we're really good at that now) that's given me some ability to forecast in other areas too. You just need to verify the datasets from as many independent sources as possible and discount or give extra credence to certain ones over others using your intelligence. But the best way is to build a page (and because it's a random of low vol keyword you can rank 1-3 overnight and see how many visitors you get. Shoot first ask questions later. What's the worst that can happen? You made a nice page for your visitors to read. Some of my best performing content I got this way.

Is it worth Disavowing 15 links?
Hi Adam, Based on what you have said here, it sounds as if these links are harmful and could be disavowed. A few things to look for: Are you the target of harmful/negative SEO? This is my first thought on account of your loss of #1 rankings and the upsurge in spammy leads - it's not as common as it used to be, but negative SEO still exists and some folks would rather go that route rather than try to outrank you naturally. Some clues might lie in when the links were created (how close to one another) and whether they come from an established PBN (look at hosting cues). If sites linking to your site are showing C-Class hosting then you may be the target of negative SEO and should disavow. Have you changed anything on the site that would lead to the drop? You mentioned you haven't done any link building, but you were continuing with a content strategy. Has anything on the site changed with respect to architecture, pathways, etc.? Check for a manual penalty I assume you have checked your Search Console for notifications of a penalty. If not, do that. How long has this been going on? It's not abnormal for rankings to adjust for a few days while SERP's are being compiled. If this has been going on for less than a week, I would give it some more time before you start making significant changes. My wait period is about 14 days before I start worrying. Local SEO Factors Are you seeing decreases in rankings across the board, or is it for a specific geographical area? If general decreases, you are probably looking at a disavow. If localized drops, then it may just be a case of local SEO factors acting against you. TL:DR You can disavow, but if those links are actually helping you then you can't retract your request and you'll have lost them forever. Make sure it's actually the links causing the harm before you go that route. Disavow should be your last choice. Feel free to follow up - always happy to help! Cheers, Rob

Is there a way to see all of the Google My Business Accounts that Have been created for a Property?
Hi Adam, Good question. 3 tips: Document the client's current and former NAP (name, address, phone) including any branding or phone numbers and any location they may have used in the past decade or so. And, if the client is a multi-practitioner model (like a legal firm, realty firm, dental office), document the names of all of the practitioners for whom listings may have been created. Now, enter these name/zip combos for each entity into the free Moz Check Listing tool for a very fast check. By clicking the Duplicates tab in the results, you'll see all of the duplicates we were able to find on the major platforms based on the information you entered. If you are Moz Local customer, we can help you automate closure of the duplicates across our partner network (saves a ton of time and worry!). You may wish to supplement this with a manual search for Google My Business duplicates. Here's an excerpt we published from Joy Hawkins eBook that covers duplicate listing management in depth: https://moz.com/blog/duplicate-gmb-listings. And, here is Joy's own blog post about managing duplicates: http://www.sterlingsky.ca/the-proper-way-to-deal-with-duplicates-in-google-my-business/ These three elements should get you going. Hope it helps!

My country is wrong in the Moz tool: Shows Canada, when the store is in Georgia (US)
Hi Adam! When you say the site is in Canada, do you mean it's _hosted _in Canada? Or that it's somehow communicating that the locations are in Canada?

Random /feed 404 error from a wordpress site
Hello! Sorry, I have the same problem on my site (www.2become1.it). For example, in this page www.2become1.it/wedding-videographer-italy/engagement-chris-caterina/ i find this url: http://www.2become1.it/wedding-videographer-italy/engagement-chris-caterina/feed/ that doesn't exist. I can't clean up head in SEO Yoast because the plugin's author disabled this option in the new version. Any suggest? Thanks Marco

Why has google stopped showing one domain and switching to showing another that points to the same website?
I agree with Patrick and dirk, you making trouble for yourself. Decide what domain you want and 301 redirect to it. Use the logic, if not prefereddomain, then perfereddomain, rather then trying to detect evey domain.

Do H2 tags carry more weight than h4 tags?
Hi There It's questionable how much weight H tags carry at all. If they carry any, it's probably really small, or relative to how easy the keyword and industry is. H1's may help a bit more than all others - but when you start getting into H2's vs H4's it's splitting really thin hairs. This is the best resource on H tags and SEO I know of: http://www.seobythesea.com/2012/01/heading-elements-and-the-folly-of-seo-expert-ranking-lists/

Website Migration - remove unnecessary sub-folder?
301 the old links to the new linking structure. If it is already a high ranking page, the link weight should carry through. Since it already ranks high, I would keep as many elements as you can the same, unless they dont rank well and need to be improved. Make sure to do a site search for indexed pages, and redirect or create a removal request for any unatural cms-generated links. (component/SAMPLE/123456 etc) DO NOT just delete the entire folder without seeing how many on page links still link to those pages. Check your on-page links to see if it is generated by the menu system, or if is hard-coded in the content. Wordpress also has a few items you will want to change in the robots.txt file vs the old Joomla site. User-agent: * Disallow: /feed/ Disallow: /trackback/ Disallow: /wp-admin/ Disallow: /wp-content/ Disallow: /wp-includes/ Disallow: /xmlrpc.php Disallow: /wp- Allow: /wp-content/uploads/ Sitemap: http://example.com/sitemap.xml Disallow: /wp-content/plugins or you could also use this one: User-agent: * Disallow: /cgi-bin/ Disallow: /wp-admin/ Disallow: /wp-includes/ Disallow: /wp-content/ Disallow: /archives/ disallow: /? Disallow: ?replytocom Disallow: /wp- Disallow: /author Disallow: /comments/feed/ User-agent: Mediapartners-Google* Allow: / User-agent: Googlebot-Image Allow: /wp-content/uploads/ User-agent: Adsbot-Google Allow: / User-agent: Googlebot-Mobile Allow: / Hope this helps! Paid Press Releases: Good for SEO or bad?
There is amazing trust flow with press distribution and it is VERY possible to rank certain queries with Press alone (read low comp local), however, ignoring the branding and view/traffic potential is a mistake. Do not believe the hype that they are ineffective as an inclusion to your ranking strategy.
