Multiple Domains
Hi Chris, Thanks for the question. It's tough to give an answer without more detail but it really depends on what you're trying to achieve and includes considering things such as: Your target market - are you only looking to target the UK or multiple countries? Is this likely to change in the future? What resources do you have to manage multiple websites from a technical perspective? Do you have resources to create unique content for example? What resources do you have to market multiple websites? Separate websites will each need good marketing in order to succeed. Re Google Plus (and other social accounts) do you have the resources to manage multiple accounts? The key thing is the first one and is important to get right from the start. Having multiple websites to target different areas can work fine, but you need to be able to put the right amount of time and effort into each one to make it a success. If you don't have many resources, you may be better off going for a .com domain and having a subfolder to target the UK. I hope that helps a bit! Paddy

Robots.txt blocking Addon Domains
Sort of resolved, maybe the wrong place to ask any further. The above is a working fix for what seems like a legit bug, I'll update if WordPress forums say anything.

Crawl test
Hello! What you will want to do is look at your crawl diagnostics in a campaign to get a better understanding of the errors. The CSV is helpful to hand over to a web developer to address any issues. There is a mix of positive and negative errors you will find in the report. You can use the data viewed in a campaign as a guideline. TRUE values mean the errors for the specific column exist, these are the ones you will pay close attention to. FALSE values mean they do not exist. Most FALSE values will not appear in a campaign so many of the cells in a CSV will show this. Hope this helps!

Linked on a mobile app, is it a backlink?
Finally an answer, thank you! ** I have seen Google promote app indexing and deep linking on their site, but it looks like the app developer needs to do something to take advantage of it. https://developers.google.com/app-indexing/** This caught my eyes. I am developing an app for my site, and I will have this link in mind. Thanks Anthony Good day,

Still Keyword Stuffing? With NO tekst?
I totally agree with you, you do need unique content to rank and Martine's page (coz this discussion took off a bit) had a lot, a lot of unique content. So that's why i was considering that having keywords appearing a 15+ times on her page would not do any harm. Keyword stuffing can affect your rankings, of course, but only if you have thin content and/or if you do it to influence rankings (as an example, a client of mine had his titles on all pages like this: RV Insurance | Buy Rv Insurance | Best Rv Insurance | Rv Insurance Online | Rv Insurance Quotes - and the last paragraph on each page was 3-4 lines of RV Insurance related keyword spam - and guess what, there was no penalty and the site still ranks well for it's keywords).

Plugin to duplicate CMS pages, changing the location
Hi There - While I'm not sure of the plugin you're citing, you are right to suspect that cloning hundreds of thin or duplicative pages would not be a strategy any good Local SEO would recommend, particularly in light of Google's recent doorway pages announcement (see: http://moz.com/community/q/how-google-s-doorway-pages-update-affects-local-seo). Loading any site down with this kind of content would not be a smart move, and my recommendation would be to devote the bulk of your resources of both time and funding to carefully crafting the highest quality content for your relevant topics, whether these are local landing pages, blog posts or what have you. I would caution you against looking for a fast solution here. A better goal would be mining deep for quality, however long this might take. Additionally, it's good to remember that just because a competitor seems to be benefiting from a spammy practice, it's not really a good idea to model your marketing on this. Google can't see everything all at once, but when they finally do see something they don't like, punitive action can happen overnight. I think the best way to look at this is that competitors who are spamming are actually in a weak position. They are putting their visibility at risk, while you, taking the high road, are securing your future.

Subdomain for ticketing of a client website (how to solve SEO problems caused by the subdomain/domain relationship)
Hi Adam, Are the ticket pages on the sub domain the same as the event pages on the main domain except with the ticketing system included? If yes it would make more sense to canonical each event ticketing page back to the same event page so: tickets.domain.com/event1 -> domain.com/event1. If the ticketing pages are not meant to be indexed at all then I would put the robots no index tag on them also (or a robots file on the whole subdomain) and keep an eye on GWT to make sure none of them creep in. Canonical tags are a 'recommendation' not a rule so if your plans are for these pages to not be indexed at all best to ensure that as completely as possible.

My site got penalized ( manual penalty)
How much of the content is actually yours and how much is copied from other places. Did you use spun articles? If the website an autoblog? Either way, i would say the penalty is correct and your website is spam (if you can't prove otherwise).

Question about landing pages
Hi There! Not quite sure I'm following your thought here. What would you be keeping the NAP off of? I understood that your original idea was to build out separate landing pages for zip codes or build a separate website. I'm recommending against either approach. Having 2 authoritative websites (with the same business name) would potentially be confusing to both humans and bots, and building out landing pages on your original site just for zip codes sounds like it might lead to thin or duplicate content, and could even fall under Google's new doorway pages update. If you want to optimize for zip codes, my best recommendation is to find an way to work this into your existing site and existing city landing pages (as in my Monterey example). I can't think of any other approach I'd be comfortable recommending. Hope this helps!
