I have a bunch of tumblr blogs and one has a spam score of 9.  It looks like the reason for the spam score is that it reblogs one post from a very legit blog with a spam score of 8. That blog is written by the type of guy who headlines social media conferences, so I certainly wouldn't want to disavow him.

I have seen reports that bad/old dates are impacting CTR, but the argument for how this impacts ranking is long and perilous, as we all know It does seem likely that bad dates at large scale would impact a wide range of engagement metrics.

So, Couple things I noticed. Backlink profile is very poor. Ahrefs and MOZ OSE showing poor profile history (did you guys get hit by penguin or another update at some point?), and currently you have very few backlinks and referring domains. Also, there are no backlinks to the actual page, so that decreases your chances. Anchor text cloud is nothing but brand name, which has some negative impact (or rather no positive for given keyword). On the page, it seems to me that there is a mix of german and english languages (not sure if that would have impact on rankings, but surely looks strange to a user). Page is overstuffed with "sophos sg" to the point of ridiculousness In conclusion, have some backlinks improvements (including internal linking and anchor text usage), considering you are only #13 for given keyword, you gonna on the first page in no time P.S. This is just what i saw in a glance, SEO audit might be of a good help to you guys.

I am the same way. If you try to place a link in a comment I will delete it in almost every circumstance.

Hi Bob, I want to clarify that I'm not suggesting you write about a specific company (as in Green Tree Medical center has title tag problems). Rather, you want to look at major local industries to discover their most common failings/needs. For example, you might do an audit of dental offices in Boise, and discover that a problem that seems to be plaguing half of them is multi-practitioner duplicates. So, then you could begin addressing that audience, talking about how Boise dentists are losing reputation and revenue owing to this situation, as they fail to rank well. Then, you'd explain about how to fix this. And then, of course, you'd offer to be the go-to agency to undertake the work, as many of the dentists are unlikely to have the time to do so. That's just a scenario off the top of my head. There may be industries in your town which particularly interest you, and that you'd enjoy serving. What I'm suggesting might be an approach to starting to make headway, proving your authority in your target markets.

Hey! why don't you write three pages? C being your number one page linking out to A and B? That way you are explaining the relationship of the services to the customer and to Google.  Win win?

I have two metrics..... Links that you didn't try to get and are delivering genuine traffic today.   These are from people who really like your site and are willing to give you their visitors.  Give thanks when you get these types of links.  Pay attention to where they are coming from, what type of content they are landing on and their context on the linking site.  Make more of that type of content and make it even better.  Find out what you can do to give help to the generous people who give you these links.  They are your fans and can become your strongest allies. Links within your own site that people are clicking to discover your best and most relevant content to what they are reading.   If you are not promoting your own best stuff, nobody else is going to do it for you. This is a free and powerful way to cultivate fans and allies and get people to engage your website.  Google is watching.   Make more of these links and be sure that every page on your site has some.  Use high quality images and words that elicit the click.  Test different images and words.  Make these immediately upon publishing a new page.
