Should I prevent Google from indexing blog tag and category pages?
Of course if you used the link juice you save by not indexing the tag pages towards your articles this "could" bring in just as much traffic or more than you lost by blocking those pages. I guess that is my question... does blocking out certain pages on your site put your sites link juice towards other pages?

Will the links coming from an article in certain BLOG / NEWS SITE become a GOOD BackLink?
I completely agree with what you just said but I assume that snippet alone needs to be that....amazing, to be picked up by other, right? I mean there is not much you can share in a snippet, a few sentences maybe an image what about videos? Have you tried link building using any type of video? Could you share your homepage metrics, just PR, PA and DA.

301 Redirects
I agree with EGOL, unless your current URLs are absolutely driving you nuts, I'd leave as is. Plus 301s never direct 100% of the link juice so you'd most likely be hurting yourself.

If you're unable to accomplish what you need with Artisteer, then Headway may be an ideal solution for you. I agree wholeheartedly on Yoast's SEO package, BTW.

Does it make sense to have one facebook/twitter account for multiple websites?
Agree with Aaron. Don't create multiple social media accounts just to have them. Make sure you have the manpower to keep each one updated. From experience I can tell you it's a lot of work keeping up with the influencers of many different topics.

Google causing Magento Errors
Google will cache whatever you serve up. So if your page serves up random text, Google will cache random text. Have you tried to add the file back in with a NOINDEX command?

Duplicate block of text on category listings
It's all about the content at the end of the day. The more content you can get out there for the products, the better off you will be. Just be careful not to spin content. Keep it as clean as possible

Strange title listings - please help
In an earlier reply I shared two steps you can take that MAY help resolve this issue. As EGOL shared, it's Google's website and they can do as they deem best. With that understood, by understanding how Google works we can help them meet our needs by making a few logical adjustments to our site.

Best strategy for content/articles. Individual pages or blog posts?
Hi David, I do the same thing as EGOL. I write my best content in a WordPress page and then kind of summarize the article in a blog post and link to the article using the anchor text I want the page to rank for. Then I go into my SEO smart links plugin settings and add the keywords I want the page to rank for ( My main keyword and then a few supporting keywords) and the URL. This way I can build out my internal linking structure without really having to think about it. Hope this helps, Bill

Lost ranking once optimised a page
Hi Ryan, Looks like you're using Wordpress. To take care of those redirect issue, try the following in your .htaccess file. Test thoroughly on a demo site before going live with this. Wordpress plugins that you're using might have options that reach the same effect, so look into that as well. RewriteEngine on Options +FollowSymLinks #Force trailing slash RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^(www.)?mybabyradio.com/$ [NC] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !(.)/$ RewriteRule ^(.)$ http://www.mybabyradio.com/$1/ [R=301,L] #Redirect non-www to www RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^mybabyradio.com$ [NC] RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.mybabyradio.com/$1 [R=301,L]

Google +1 link on Domain or Page?
I think we are presently in a "too new to tell" stage. It also seems this is a metric which will be watched very closely by Google and may be adjusted multiple times this year. With that said, intuitively the weighting style would be similar to a link. Would you prefer a link to your home page or to a deeper page? The same logic should apply.

Google +1 button
As you probably know, the idea of +1 is personal recommendations - so you can see what people you know gave the thumbs up to. As to whether Google will use it as a ranking factor or not, they are suggesting they might, but cautiously: "This is just one of many signals Google may use to determine a page’s relevance and ranking, and we’re constantly tweaking and improving our algorithm to improve overall search quality. For +1's, as with any new ranking signal, we'll be starting carefully and learning how those signals affect search quality". http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?answer=1140194 I guess the problem is that +1 signals could be manipulated like almost anything else so they will be treated as just one factor, in the context of many other factors.
