  • Hey Paul, Sorry for the late response. When you're setting up your reports you can select the monthly delivery schedule. However, in order to select the monthly time frame for your modules you will need to have enough data in the campaign for that time frame to be generated. Monthly time frames are generated on the first of the month assuming there is at least 21 days of data. I hope that answers your question. Cheers, Joel.

  • Would it be possible to do a redirect from /section/index.php to just /section/ without causing a completely pointless infinite loop etc....

  • "how can I add for example 500 characters text for game which have maximum 2-3 hours playtime," And that's exactly the point.  I've answered your question on another forum but thought I'd chime in again here.  How does your site add value that the user can't get elsewhere?  It appears that the vast majority of these games are ones that don't belong to you.  So, if I am searching for a particular game, why would Google want to show me your site rather than the site of the person who created the game? I don't say this often but I think that removing your penalty will be close to impossible.  You would have to convince Google that your site adds significant value and should be included in the search results.  And that's going to take a lot more than just adding a blurb of content to each game.

  • Thanks for your reaching out to us, Paul! I'm Maura Hubbell, a software engineer working today as part of the Mozzer Alliance. We saw in Google's cached copy of your page that you have some links as href="www.videobrochures.ca". This is a relative link because there's no "http://" in front of "www", i.e. "www.videobrochures.ca" will get appended to the URL of the page it's in. We can see that your site now has href="http://www.videobrochures.ca", so somebody has fixed it. Yay! Our next crawl of your site should pick up the fixed links. Please let us know if you need help. Thanks, Maura Hubbell

  • It is very difficult to tell you something if you don't tell us where to find your website. If you could post the url here in the following format: domain (dot) com then we could give you an accurate answer. My first guess is that you haven't set up a proper rel=canonical. In the eyes of a computer the following URL's are all different pages. www.domain.com domain.com www.domain.com/index.html domain.com/index.html www.domain.com?sessionid=1 etcetera... If you're not canonicalizing your pages or redirecting them properly then a computer such as a search engine will see it as different pages with exactly the same content. As i mentioned before, this is just a guess and i can't give a proper answer without knowing the URL of your website. Hope my answer will be useful to you.

  • Hello! More timeframe options is on our list to add but it may not be available for a while. The current workaround is to setup custom reports so you can have a weekly and monthly record of your data you can obtain at anytime. I recommend adding any feedback or suggestions in the feature request forum for this topic here: https://seomoz.zendesk.com/entries/23182030-Monthly-Timeframe-for-Reports-and-Dashboards-Views Hope this helps!

  • but as long as I have a lot of great pictures indexed by Google wouldn't it be a waste to noindex such pages, even though I do not care about ranking for those pages? In other words, if I have "noindex, follow" wouldn't that mean Google will not count all the pictures on such pages and that could ultimately hurt more important pages on my site? I want to move these pictures to other page where the pictures do not load before users scroll. I will share with my web developers what you mentioned above. If you can think what the javascript is please do keep me posted

  • Hi there, There's definitely no magic number for conversion rates, unfortunately - some businesses consider 2% amazingly high. For others, anything less than 20% would be a failure depending on what the desired action is. It depends entirely on the page and campaign. I would start here to figure out both what your current problems are and what sort of improvement you can consider to be "good" - it's very difficult to compare your CR to anyone else's but your own. That post works with that assumption - that it's only your own data that can be used to decide on what constitutes improvement or what success looks like. Sorry to provide a non-answer, but I'd go as far as to say that it's hard to even compare your CR with others in your industry - with different brands and landing pages, everyone's data is unique to them.

  • Hi Viresh, The 301 redirect option is perfect, and so is using the canonical tag to point one "version" of the site to the other if you would rather do that - instructions for doing that are here. Just make sure, as you would with the redirect, the the canonical tag points on a page-by-page basis. That is, xyz.com/page31.html has a canonical tag on it pointing to www.xyz.com/page31.html, not to www.xyz.com/. Cheers, Jane

  • I support Jane's advice here to make a custom 404 that is as beneficial as possible for the user. I would only worry about 301 redirecting old property pages to their city/neighborhood subcategory if the page shows up in Google Webmaster Tools 404 section and shows an external link pointing at it that is worth saving. A process you could do about once per month or quarter.
