SEO For Replacement Site
We've done this before and usually, we get dips for some keywords, most will stay the same. We prepare ourselves mentally each time we have to do this LOL. As long as the redirects/content are in-place and you provide a better user experience without affecting load speed, then we are confident enough to just go on and do it. The rewards for the "risk" is always greater.

Swiss SEO Companies
I would suggest a Search on Google for "SEO companies near Zurich" the ones who come top of the ranking I would look into. Sorry if this sounds a little obvious, but like Tattoos "Cheap SEO isn't good and Good SEO isn't cheap!"

Blocking subdomains without blocking sites...
Ah, I see now. Try this out http://moz.com/community/q/block-an-entire-subdomain-with-robots-txt#reply_26992 - basically, when a subdomain is identified, it would pull a different file into the robots.txt location (which would contain the disallow: / syntax) Read the remaining comments about getting the subdomain removed via GWT.

Timing of actions
I don't believe the two events are related. It's more related to Panda 4.0 and their use of thin content and doorway pages. According to an excellent article on wordstream by Larry Kim: "When you search for specific products and see an organic search result, chances are, it's leading you to a doorway page – an internal search results page on eBay with very little content..."

WP SEO plugin
I have seen this as well, and have experience with both SEO plugins mentioned in this thread. Yoast is very good, as is All in one seo pack. Not many people are aware of the different rules of robots for a page. The page title switching is controlled by Google, as mentioned above. The effects can be mitigated by adding a special meta tag on that page, which is ODP = no. ODP (stand for open directory project) will allow Google to switch around the titles to better suit the users search query. Another tag you should add is archive = no. Below is a complete example: name="robots" content="index, follow, noarchive, snippet, noodp" /> This states to the search engine, index this page, follow all links, do not show archived pages, (old, cached) allow snippets and markup, and do not customize displayed titles from open directory project. Want proof? http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/google-supports-meta-noodp-tag/ "In some circumstances, Google uses descriptions from the Open Directory Project as the title and snippet for a web result; this tag lets you opt out of the ODP title and description." I have used this on my site, and on clients sites with great success. If you add this tag, it will take a while to reindex, but give it a try and see if they display the real page title after you submit and wait a bit. This should help you out quite a bit.

27 of 127 Domains Agreed to Remove Bad Links, Is this an Unusually Low Ratio?
Hi Alan, It was the Panda algorithm that updated this week, not Penguin. Panda is about on page quality and not about links. (We don't know for sure if links play any part in Panda, but my guess is that they don't.) "So are you saying that despite the new Penguin update, Google will not review our disavow file and that the only action to take is to ping the links from the low quality domains in order to expedite Google's review of our site?" The disavow file starts working as soon as you file it. It's complicated though. If the Penguin algorithm has decided that your site is untrustworthy in regards to links, then Google will still continue to suppress your rankings until Penguin refreshes again. Regarding pinging links to make them get disavowed, that's still up for debate. The idea is that you get Google to visit the link so that it can recrawl it and apply your disavow. Jim Boykin of Internet Marketing Ninjas asked John Mueller about whether it was possible to use the Google submit url to ping urls to get them recrawled (see video here at about 1hr 4min: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0FC1K25Z3w&feature=c4-overview&list=UUthrUiuJUtFSXBUp48D8bAA). John said it wouldn't work. But who knows, perhaps building links to those pages might work. EDIT: That type of thing - building links to bad urls to get them to be recrawled is not something I would recommend that you do. It's something I might experiment with myself at some point but it's not something I'd recommend the average Penguin hit site does.

Moving to a new site - archive or keep campaign?
it depends if you want to keep the data from before, if you keep it you will also keep the data where as if you start over you will only be able to go far back in the data as far as you created the campaign.

On Brand Queries Google does not shows my home page first instead of it shows internal pages.
Google just rolled out a big Panda update and a couple of smaller updates besides, so there's a possibility that this was just a glitch. We generally say that if you see something bizarre happen around big updates, wait it out a few days and see if things go back to normal. If you don't see this happen again, I'd but it down to a fluke...

Is it possible to get high page rank without backlinks?
Actually, you are correct. Google's PageRank algorithm has always been all about links. Check it - PageRank works by counting the number and quality of links to a page to determine a rough estimate of how important the website is. The underlying assumption is that more important websites are likely to receive more links from other websites. More on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PageRank. This being said, Google's toolbar PR is not nearly as influential as a ranking factor as it has been in years past.

Google Places
Hiya, Doesn't look like a verified listing to me, also a couple of +1's wouldn't hurt though the two 1 star reviews will hurt a bit. If you're being super picky you could look into optimizing your quote text currently "BMW Sydney - Driving People" I would recommend using your Google + page to create a used community page the local page would follow shortly after as they are tied in. Currently I see two unused Google plus pages for BMW Sydney would recommend using one a bit more. There are also lots of guides for local here on Moz if you have a look about. Good luck.

Google Panda 4.0 update - Good for Small businesses?
One of our sites had issues previously, bad links. We went through the disavow procedure months ago, but no change in rank until yesterday - up about 28 spots, broke the #50 barrier, all since the update.

SEO and Internal Pages
Hi there, David has covered some important points already. I wanted to point out that the URL you supplied here (www.thesandiegocriminallawyer.com/theft-crimes.html) 301 redirects to http://www.thesandiegocriminallawyer.com/san-diego-theft-crimes-attorney.html. Are you using the resolving URL to do any link building (although you say the number of inbound links to the crime pages are very low)? If there was an older version of some of these pages and you've gone through recent redirects when moving to Wordpress, those new pages / URLs may have a hard time ranking initially.
