Open Site Explorer produces better results for www.50campfires.com than 50campfires.com
Hello, I just checked and the 301 redirects appear to be implemented properly. I would not worry about the difference in PA/DA between the www. and non-www. version - this is simply a metric tied to the number and quality of links going into the www. version vs. the non-www. version. With time, the non-www. version will accumulate more links and more authoritative links that will ultimately power the rankings. As you build and naturally produce more links to the non-www. version this version of the page will become more and more authoritative. It should quickly become more authoritative in all metrics than the www. version. Even in the short-term, I would not stress over the very small amount of link equity that is lost in the one 301 redirect between the www. version and the non-www. version. This is a VERY minor/small SEO impact (if one at all).

Google Plus Local - Business address, regions covered/served
Thanks for that info Miriam But the above 'service area' business set up advice from Jeff is still correct isn't it ? especially in regard to my clients scenario So we will just have 1 x G+ listing for them but add areas served within that 1 listing The physical address of this business is not a place of business, the place of business is the various areas served which are simply different areas of London Re Schema yes i do appreciate that local address schema must be the official company address but since this is different from the areas of business/target regions i was just wandering if anyone knew of any other type of schema we can add to include regions served/areas of business ? Many Thanks Dan

What's another good SEO plugin for WordPress besides Yoast?
We've had clients that have used most of same - Ultimate I think is the most used but Yoast is like #2.... They're all about the same - made for folks in the WP world who just aint coders....they do make ok title and meta desc changes...but lack any real 'go-for-it' tactical strengths.... Wouldn't recommend any of them, really....so much easier to code in php for your own usages....

Duplicate Content: Is a product feed/page rolled out across subdomains deemed duplicate content?
I only use canolonical links on the same domain as your telling google which is a master page. If you use them accross domains I don't think it would pan out very well for the site giving away it's content google juice. I'd like to know the colution to this if anyone has got anything to add, as I also have a site in Ireland which sells the same as the site in the UK. Luckily for me the majority of the contnent isn't duplicate.

Best practice for local SEO when two offices handle different services?
Very helpful thanks Miriam. Your answer confirms my gut feeling on this, I just wanted to make sure I was on the right lines. Never heard of the same business offering separate services from two physical locations before. I think on the site we'll have two separate location pages, as you suggest. This way we can link the listings to separate URLs and keep the services separate.

How to hide element without affecting SEO listing
display=none As a CSS style for your header. Won't be displayed but is still there for the links to be crawled. Not sure what you mean by "blacklisted" by Google here.

One service - multiple locations
My opinion is that if it is still one of the most relevant results in the search for that specific keyword then it will rank. I have seen website rank with 250,000+ duplicated pages.

Can you use schema markup to do this?
No I would invest in Schema, but in this case I personally think that the attributes listed would not be implemented in any search engine soon. Some of them you would have to use the additionalType and that would be one of my last guesses for attributes that would ever be included.

Can a feeder site link directly to the main site?
Yes, I'd definatley do that. You are just cross-linking form other domains onto your own site. If the domains are registered in different IP Ranges even better.
