Title Tag won't update
-
The Home page Title Tag on my Wordpress CMS Website doesn't update. It has the Thesis Theme and All in One SEO plugin. I've updated it exactly the same on the Home page, for SEO plugin, and in the Thesis Theme - but still it displays the old one..
The site was last cached about a week ago - 3X since I've been attempting to change it. The other page's Title Tags update instantly when updated, but not the Home page. I've been digging for a solution and can't seem to find an answer. What could be the problem?
(www.austinfitnessgyms.com -It should be: Austin Gym | Kickboxing in Austin | Impact MMA Fitness)

If you look at the source in chrome, the isn't matching color of the <title>. I think you are having a validation issue. I think its up top in the HTML section:</p> <p><span>xmlns:og</span>='<span>http://opengraphprotocol.org/schema/</span>'</p> <p>Make sure that you are using quotation marks instead of the apostrophe. So it is ="content" instead of ='content'. </p></title>

Hey Steve
Validation problems aside, if you want to update the homepage title you need to do this in one of two places. Assuming the all in one SEO package is working then you need to change it on the All In One SEO settings page which is under the settings menu.
Settings > All In One SEO
If that does not work, you can change the site title and tagline under the general settings page
Settings > General
If it still does not work then something is not quite right. Looking at your theme, it has been redesigned so it is possible the developers have hard coded the page title on the homepage. It would be a little unusual but I have seen worse.
Let me know if you are still struggling, happy to login to your WP admin and take a look for you.
Cheers
