Facing problems in baidu webmaster installation

The website is https enabled. I tried 2 methods to install baidu webmaster tool.

1. File validation

But for some reason it failed to verify. The domain is subdomain and looks something like this support. ____.com.

Can somebody suggest a way to fix this ? Is it beacuse of https ?

I think that you're unable to verify a site on baidu unless it's registered in China and has a .cn domain.

Let me know how it goes! I'm interested in baidu optimization as well, but there isn't too much information available online so far. (In English anyway!)
