SEO Campaign for testing site?

We are in the process of a website redesign and have initiated an SEO campaign on the current site to set benchmarks. Does it make sense for us to run a separate SEO campaign on the testing site as well?

Hello!

If the site is live and reachable without a username/password, it wouldn't hurt to have crawl reports to make sure it will be free of any broken links and factors like title and meta descriptions are still visible.
