Can't access social overview

Hi there,

I'm trying to access the social overview page as detailed on this link: https://moz.com/help/guides/getting-started/campaign-setup

The problem is that I can't see it nor can I find the campaign settings page that indicates how to get social set up. If I go to campaign settings, I see a brief flash of a social tab but it quickly disappears and I'm unable to find anything that looks like something I can use to link to my FB, Twitter, etc.

Please let me know if I'm doing anything wrong. It almost seems like this is a bug to me.

I work on the product team - nice to meet you.

This is not a bug, it is actually a deliberate change.  Some background on the Social feature in Moz Pro, and some issues we have had for a while now:

• the Social features in Moz Pro are not as core to SEO as we had originally thought when we built it.  Given Moz Pro is first and foremost an SEO tool, we began to question its fit as a feature. This is backed up by the data - Social is our lowest used area of the application.
• to be honest, the Social tracking features in Moz Pro do not offer much above what you can get for free (here is a great list of free/freemium social tools from our friends at Buffer - https://blog.bufferapp.com/social-media-analytics-tools). We want to build software that provides unique value and right now we are not sure that Social does.
• we have seen lots of data instability that has been pretty tough for us to fix and distracting to our core SEO mission.

Now we have a separate tool that allows you to track Twitter profiles and influencers - FollowerWonk. This has some crossover with the feature set of MA, but we believe is much more useful features to those doing SEO and Content Marketing and has some very useful and unique data and features.

Eventually we realized that it didn't make sense for us to maintain 2 separate tools, especially given the difference in audience and the issues listed above. For this reason we have decided to deprecate Social from Moz Pro and move the useful parts into FollowerWonk.

One trade-off we had to make though was to stop access to the Social feature for new users, hence the reason you do not have it available - this is to help with the data instability issues.  The FollowerWonk team are hard at work building the other Social features into that tool though, so it won't be long until they are all available again in a much more useful (and SEO-relevant) form.  Going forward we believe that this will allow us to put more effort into maintaining and improving on our SEO tools.  Which is much more important to our customers and our mission.
