Moz Temperature Widget
-
I've just tried to add the Moz temperature widget to my site (https) and it is getting blocked by Google Chrome for an incorrectly configured SSL certificate (apparently!)
The widget embeds this page - https://mozcast.com/embed/yesterday/horizontal
Which comes up with a security issue when visited in Chrome
Do I need to wait for Moz to fix?
Kind Regards
Liam

It is because the widget is trying to reference a HTTP:// site from your HTTPS:// I often get the same issue when trying to reference an image when its is not on the same SSL domain.
Mozcast does not sit behind an SSL.

Hi Tim
Is this something that Moz need to fix / I can fix / I just need to ignore and not bother with the widget *delete as applicable

I think that you will have to wait until Moz put mozcast.com on a SSL certificate.

Thanks Tim

Like Tim said, you're trying to add a non-secure item to a secure page. If Moz aren't able to create a HTTPS version of the widget, I'd recommend viewing the source code of the widget and re-creating it on your page.
Also - I remember attending some AdWords and Analytics training classes with HBP with yourself some years ago Liam!

Ha! Hi Liam - as you can see STILL no technical knowledge from me
