Do you guys mind sharing your steps on what you do on your research? Semrush does not have my countries google so Sadly i have to skip that.

I been using open site explore to check out on my competitors to see what they are ranking. Any more suggestions?

I wrote a detailed post on SEMRush that talks about step by step research in order to come up with the list of keywords that are money making or help you get quality traffic and leads from search engine.

        http://www.semrush.com/blog/publications/judge-value-keywords-business/

Go through the post and you will have a better idea. SEMRUsh does have limited countries but I think Google Keyword planner can help better in this regards.

        Hope this helps!

Hi, I made a keyword research last month for a large retailer i took the following staps: First of all i made 3 keyword lists:
          1. top 100 high volume (adwords keyplanner like Moosa said)
          2. top 100 best ranking (MOZ and WMT)
          3. top 100 last month used (Google analytics and WMT)

For the final keyword list i took the overlaps on the lists. and the keywords with brings traffic and revenue to the site. I have 60 keywords now  and optimizing the landingpages for it.

          Grtz, Leonie.

            1. Look at your competitors and what they are targeting
            2. Google Adwords Keyword Planner
            3. Semrush (which you say you can't use)
            4. keywordtool.io (gives you Google Autosuggested Terms around your keywords)
            5. Scrapebox for even more in depth keyword research. With the list of terms this generates, you can gather search volume with the Google Adwords Keyword Planner and group them into related sections using the Adwords Editor.

              • Of late after the Panda Update I see sub standard sites ranking. Take an example of www.seobaba.com which is ranking 8th for keyword SEO in Google. What is the reason for this ?
