Facebook "likes" not showing up in Open Site Explorer

Hi All:

I'm dealing with a company that has 299 Facebook likes, but Open Site Explorer only shows three. I checked the NAP on Facebook and it's correct. Anyone know why this might be happening? I'm worried if Open Site Explorer is not seeing the likes, Google might not as well, for whatever reason.

Wes, I'm not sure about the WHY behind the discrepancy, but I monitor Open Site Explorer for multiple websites, and the Facebook likes (and social shares in general) are never accurate.

How many likes does your page itself have in FB? We're looking at likes of your pages/posts, not of your page on the facebook.com domain.

When you put your own URL into Open Site Explorer, we're looking at that URL (such as mycompany.com) and the FB likes that URL has.

What you've given me here is the URL for your Facebook page itself, which is actually a completely different site.
