      Hi everyone,

Does anyone know how to change the 'Timeframe' on the dates to make a report?

I am getting pretty annoyed as I started a report yesterday and now the results have updated but my previous report has not saved. Well, it has 'saved' but when i click into it, it just reverts to today. I assume because it is a dynamic system...but I want to go back in time and have a look at yesterday's results and I can't seem to. The date is showing weekly 11 feb-18th feb and i can't change it.

I would like to compare to last week or have a look at yesterday alone.

Is it just me being a noob?!

      cheers,

        Hey There,

Thanks for writing in and sorry for the confusion. I'm afraid the web app is set to only show data from the most recent updated and the timeframes cannot currently be changed. We may be adding custom timeframes in the future, but they are not something we are directly working on right now.

You can always export a report directly for each week when the campaign updates and you can set up a custom report to run each week (or daily), as well. These reports are saved historically, which will allow you to go back to a past report at anytime, even if the campaign has updated since the report was run.

I apologize for the inconvenience this causes and I hope that this information helps. Please let me know if you need any further assistance.

        Chiaryn

I've seen responses for a while now that the functionality to change the date range is forthcoming, but it seems not. That lack of flexibility is making me question if the $99/mo is worth it for the lack of on-the-fly reporting flexibility...

            Hey Briana,

I'm really sorry for the confusion here! The ability to change the date ranges is not something we are actively working on at this time. It is something we are considering for the future, but we have not made a concrete decision either way on how we will proceed with that functionality and it is not in our current roadmap. For the foreseeable future, we will only be providing the data for the current timeframe and the date range will not be flexible.

I'm really sorry if that is not the type of reporting you need for your account! I will forward your feedback to our product team and I recommend that you submit a request to our Feature Request Forum to directly give the team your input and so other users can also add their voice to this request which will help our team as we consider if this is a function we will add to the tool in the future. You can find the request forum here:  https://seomoz.zendesk.com/forums/293194-Moz-Feature-Requests

              Chiaryn,

The old SEOMoz had the ability to do weekly, monthly and quarterly reports (http://moz.com/help/pro/custom-reports) but it appears that page is out of date and I can't set a report up to show monthly report data. Am I just missing something or where can I find it? At present it only shows me the option for the last week's numbers: http://tiny.d.pr/uYy0/1drqTCyb

                Hey Bob,

The old PRO application is still available for users that had accounts during the transition to Moz Analytics, so the Help page you referenced is correct for those customers. You will find the Help page for Moz Analytics custom reports here: http://moz.com/help/guides/custom-reports

We don't offer quarterly reporting in Moz Analytics because it was rarely used in the PRO application, but we do offer monthly reporting. Currently, we can only create a monthly report if we have 21 days worth of data at the beginning of the following month. I took a look at both of your campaigns and it looks like the older one was created on March 12th, so it missed the 21 day cut off by a couple of days. Unfortunately, at this time, if you miss the cut off for the monthly reporting at the beginning of the month you won't see a monthly report until the next month. I'm so sorry about that!

That honestly makes complete sense. Thank you for explaining it so well for me - I've compiled a custom report for our client this month, and appreciate the quick response!

Wow. No custom date ranges? Monitoring activity over time is one of the primary reasons for using a service like this.

Wow. No custom date ranges. I mean, hey--monitoring activity over time is one of the primary reasons for using a service like this.
