Wordtracker Link Builder Tool - Anyone Use it?

I have been using Wordtracker for about 10 years for my keyword research. They have recently unveiled a new link builder tool. I was wondering if anyone had used it or could give me some feedback on it

Yeah, started using it a few weeks ago.... and it's already yielded some good prospects that seem worth chasing.

tbh, I'm not even sure exactly how it finds the prospects, but it even seems to find some competitors links I've never found by using OSE or Majestic!

You can search by entering competitor domains or by entering keywords. The prospects will be returned and sorted into nice sections (e.g. blog, directory, business site, trusted site). So, I'm not complaining at the moment - seems to saves time and effort.

AppSumo are running a deal on it at the moment - http://www.appsumo.com/wordtracker-link-builder/?rf=srch, which is how I started using it. $99 for 6 months doesn't seem too shabby!

I don't understand how it works. from what I can tell it merely finds websites that MIGHT be good candidates for getting links? If that is the case I can't imagine it's worth even 50 cents, I can use Google now to find link prospects. what does the wordtracker tool actually DO?
