How to rank local keywords?
Dear Nicholas, Thank you for this. I will certainly find some relevant resource and fit into the web content. Is it possible if I place an external link of competitors or any other relevant resource to my website then they can also link to me? Absolutely, I can design some pictures and employ these sites. Regards

"Things to do" Google lists
Hey There, I've never seen any formal research having been done on this type of result (somebody should do this!). Best guess is that a variety of signals would be involved. These could include proximity, authority, reviews, the number of times users have saved a location to their own Google Maps, etc. Difficulty of inclusion will likely be based on your locale. A small town would likely be much simpler to get attention in than a large city with multiple attractions. One thing you might try. If you click on the "more things to do" link, then click on the "travel guide" link at the top of the page, then scroll to the bottom of that page, you'll see a feedback button. The popup this surfaces invites you to share a screenshot and and share your ideas. Why not suggest your business? Definitely not saying this will result in anything, but it's the one vehicle I see for directly providing feedback about these results. This is a good topic. I'd like to see more research done on it.

Is there any value in MapQuest?
Enjoyed that WP article, EGOL. I'd be pleased to see MQ make a comeback, but it would take an ingenious idea on their part.

Duplicate central index listing
Hello Marc Unfortunately no. I am surprised that even now all the aforementioned issues persist.

Google my business: How "Listing on Maps" are calculated? They are too high for us!
Yes, as Casey says, the accuracy of GMB Insights is pretty questionable. I don't think it's a case of Google intentionally skewing those numbers. It could even be a longstanding bug. The numbers I see make no sense. Interesting discussion of this here, if you'd like to read more on this topic: http://blumenthals.com/blog/2017/05/06/how-accurate-is-google-my-business-insights/

Inputting Schema for Website When Using a Markup Generator
The best way to deal with Schemas is using Tag Manager, the first schemas that you will need to focus are the schemas supported by Google ...Why? because will have an impact on your site performance (from SEO perspective). Website, Local Business, Articles, Breadcrumbs, Site Logos, Social Profile are almost mandatory you can check the complete list ( Also you can as many schemas as you want ) There many ways to insert schemas on your site, and if you use WordPress there are tons of plugins to do it. But in my opinion, those options are difficult to implement I mean there are plugins for recipes, for local and so on. And if you are serious about your project, you will need to keep consistency in the long run. The other option is to insert it manually which is ok if you have a small website with 20 pages but if you have a website with 500 articles and 50 categories .... well manual option will be a nightmare So that's why I prefer to work with Tag Manager to implement schemas, I create a tag and the repeat and all the pages that I want and also I don't have to worry of the plugin support Good Luck

Website with higher domain authority and good content not ranking locally?
Glad to help. A seemingly weak competitor could hold out good hope for your client to be able to surpass them once you've identified every possible metric that could be contributing to Google choosing them over your client. Good luck with the audit, and if you're successful, it would be really great if you could follow up here and share with our community what you did

I am having an issue with multiple Google local listings.
Ok, so here is what you do. Primary Number will = you Call Tracking Number The Secondary Number: Will equal the number reflected on your website (So yes add your real number to the local landing page) Then reach out to Google via the reinstatement form and you should get reinstated: https://support.google.com/business/troubleshooter/2690129?hl=en

This page should be ranking but it's not even in top 50
Hi Thanks for your response. When you mention products, do you mean the accommodation search? Yes that's correct. The products are unique to the site but they also exist on trip advisor and pull through the reviews. Do you think all the external links make it look like trip advisors content? What is the main term you are hoping to rank the page for? Hotels in Manchetser Are other pages like this on the website ranking well for their most important term? Yes, Things to do in Manchester and whats on in Manchester are all fine. There is something wrong with this page. The mobile view isn't very user friendly - i'm having this changed to a list view to see if it helps - but it is not flagged as non mobile friendly so I'm just doing this as a test When did you publish this page? Over a year ago. Thanks again. Any help would be most welcome Andrew

Help with Yelp for Brands :)
That's the challenge, With Yelp we have a decentralized strategy that we were looking to organize. Yelp would benefit so much if they had an option to create brand accounts with its locations attached, It's so much cleaner and can help brands with consistency. I wish sites were more like Google My Business LOL

Should I get an SSL if my non-SSL site is ranking well?
Google Chrome shows "not secure" today forms don't matter If you look at the example website it does not have a certificate or is it using HTTPS Because lawyers websites are considered "money or life" sites they hold more weight with Google & the public. meaning they need to be secure and trustworthy. Hopefully, he is already updated his site if not make sure he does. https://www.aleydasolis.com/en/search-engine-optimization/http-https-migration-checklist-google-docs/ Respectfully, Thomas xhTcuxV.png
