I want to know about the Impact of Do-follow backlinks and No-follow backlinks for increasing DA.
Domain Authority (DA) is a search engine ranking score developed by Moz that predicts how likely a website is to rank on search engine result pages (SERPs). A Domain Authority score ranges from one to 100, with higher scores corresponding to a greater ability to rank.

MOZ Domain Authority Change frequency
Hi there, Domain Authority (DA) - Domain Authority is a Moz proprietary metric from 1-100 which predicts how well a domain will rank in Google based on a machine learning algorithm of link metrics. Page Authority (PA) - Page Authority is a Moz proprietary metric from 1-100 which predicts how well a page will rank in Google based on a machine learning algorithm of link metrics. It is entirely possible to have a higher PA than DA as there can be plenty of pages within a site that have a high PA but the domain itself can have a lower calculated DA. You can find more information here: https://moz.com/learn/seo/page-authority and here: https://moz.com/learn/seo/domain-authority We hope that helps!

New 301 redirected URLs lost ranking and showing decline in Backlink profile
Hey there! Thanks for reaching out to us! For us to update any 301 link, we would need to re-discover the old pages to be able to follow and update the metrics. As our index continues to grow and links are rediscovered, links which have changed should be marked as “lost” for the original domain and “discovered” for the new domain. In order for our crawler to update metrics to reflect the new domain, it would need to recrawl the pages linking to your site and discover the links which redirect. The discrepancies between the DA of your old domain and new domain are probably due to the previously externally discovered links that haven’t moved over just or haven’t been discovered. I hope this helps to explain - please feel free to reach out to us at help@moz.com with any further queries. Best, Eli

When will Dotbot see changes to my robots.txt file?
Thank you very much for your response, the truth is that we are appearing in different advertising media, and google has the links indexed. In fact we have now added the url to our moz profile and added it to the Link Tracking Lists tool. It will be a matter of time

Moz isn't crawling all my backlinks.
Hi there! There are a lot of factors that can affect our ability to find and index links to your site. If you are not seeing links that you know you have, you can add them to Link Tracking Lists. Once you add a link to your tracking lists we will add that page to be crawled. As long as it is accessible to our crawler, you should see the link in our index as soon as we can index those pages. We also have a guide here with some things to check around why we may not have found your links yet: https://moz.com/help/link-explorer/link-building/moz-isnt-finding-your-links Best, Kristina, Moz Help Team

Crawl depth seems off?
Hi Samantha, I set up a new campaign using the https:// version of the site and ran a new crawl, but I'm running into the same issue as before. Perhaps this is a bigger question of how site redirects work? I was under the impression that any large-scale redirects (such as from non-www to www or http to https across all pages) can affect crawl time/load time. Rereading your comment, it sounds like what you're saying is those redirects count as layers of crawl depth, as well. By the same token, I'm assuming any redirects (301's in particular) also add a layer of crawl depth. So, my larger question then is: how can I maximize crawl depth if my site has been redirected from http to https? Will that "extra layer" of crawling always be there as long as the redirect is in place, or is there a way to compress/expedite how the crawl happens? Thanks for your input on this!

Moz doesn't index my backlink - Why?
There are a lot of factors that can affect our ability to find and index links to your site. It's important to note that we are always adding new data to our index, but it may take some time for us to discover backlinks to your site based on factors like the crawlability of the referring pages, quality of the links, and the referring pages, and more. If you are not seeing links that you know you have, you may want to make sure that they can be indexed. It is also a good idea to check to see if we've indexed the page on which that link is found. If we haven't indexed the referring page yet, you won't see your link in our index. Lastly, I have a great guide here with some things to check around why we may not have found your links yet: https://moz.com/help/link-explorer/link-building/moz-isnt-finding-your-links

How is DA and PA calculated?
I am also curious about DA and PA. My website Carpet Cleaner Picks DA is 2 while PA has reached upto 25. PA is increasing constantly since the launching of the website while DA stands still. Why is that? Secondly, I am also curious if DA or PA has any effect on the rankings.

Why is there difference in keywords of moz and ahrefs
Eric, There are no absolutes in SEO. Ask me any question and I can give you 5 different good answers for it. There are no absolutes when it comes to platforms for SEO tools, either. They've each arrived at their distinct solutions from different perspectives, although they may be trying to attain the same goals. Experience is the answer. Using and comparing how the tools provide the answers you're looking for is what make them shine for each of their particular qualities. You have to use them all to understand how to compare them all. There are no shortcuts to that.

Why is Link Explorer showing the same domain strength for domain and sub-domain? Shouldn't it be different?
Thanks for the quick response. If that is the case why is there a sub-domain option? Is it only to have the ability to see linking domains and links? Not to have the ability to see authority? I then typically default to page authority to have a sense of the authority of the sub-domain.

Ranking keywords are not showing for my site
Hi - Thanks for reaching out. This is a similar situation to these other two posts https://moz.com/community/q/ranking-keywords-are-not-showing-on-moz https://moz.com/community/q/how-to-track-keyowrds-data-when-they-are-not-showing The ranking keywords section of Keyword Explorer is powered by a different corpus than other parts of the tool. Although this keyword corpus is large, it doesn't include all keywords so there may be keywords you're checking elsewhere in our tool suite (like Rank Checker) that have not been added to our ranking keywords corpus just yet. If you'd like to track those additional keywords that aren't in the corpus just yet, I would suggest adding them to a Campaign. That way you can continue to track your rankings for them over time.

How To lower spam score
Hi - Thanks for posting! Moz's Spam Score is the percentage of sites with similar features we've found to be penalized or banned by Google (it's not based on the spam score of the sites linking to you). To improve this score I would recommend reading our guide which explains the 27 factors used to make up this score. You can then look at your site and investigate areas you would like to improve on your site: https://moz.com/help/link-explorer/link-building/spam-score Best of luck, and let me know if I can help with anything else!
