Rank Tracker Tool Accurate?
Curious how rank tracker has been impacted by Google's removal of the location filter? It would seem that getting location agnostic requests (United States for example) would be significantly more difficult at scale. I've heard chatter of a few tools having issues now.

After adding a new page to optimization section it shows up as dashes
Hi there! You're doing everything right! This just happens to be a bit of clunkiness that occurs between when you add your on-page optimization pairing and your next weekly update. Once the first weekly campaign update rolls through after adding your optimization keyword+URL combo, you should see those values populated as you'd normally expect. I'll definitely relay your feedback about this process, though! I hope this helps to explain!

Negative references to Javascript in Beginners Guide to SEO (chapter 4)
It is in there because Google struggled to read Javascript. I would imagine the guide was create a while ago and since then Google can see JavaScript however it might not be as useful as a normal website, generally I would recommend you try to move away from Wix as I've seen many people struggle with their SEO and that site. However Google will still index your website all okay and there is no massive problems if your site is created for users as a priority. Hope it helps & Good luck.

How does a non-traditional TLD impact Moz's crawl test?
Thanks David. That's too bad that alternate TLD's aren't supported yet, but I'm definitely relieved to hear that that's what the issue was. Thanks for the quick response! Cheers, Alex

How do I pull a rankings report for a specific week in the past?
Hi Ruben, In Moz Analytics, to get the rankings of a specific date you could download the entire historical keyword rankings CSV and grab what you need from there. To do this, all you have to do is click on "Rankings History CSV" next to your Tracked Keywords Overview on the Rankings page, and you'll receive an email containing the CSV file.

Past reports?
Hey David! Currently one known issue that would prevent reports form generation would be a result of the size of the report. This will not generate if any modules that contain many rows of data is added. This will include large keyword lists, crawl URL issues, and links data. We recommend downloading CSVs to obtain that data as the URLs will be complete as reports are basically a screenshot so URLs can be cut off. Summaries of the data are best to use in reports. We are moving to a new PDF generation service that will support large reports which will hopefully be ready within the next few months. Let me know if this helps!

How do I cancel a crawl request?
I don't believe there's a way from the user side to cancel a crawl. However, your competitor won't get notified of anything. Moz doesn't have their email address or phone number to contact them. The tool crawls their site like Google, Yahoo, Ahrefsbot, Majesticbot, and all the other web search engines do. They will not even notice that you ran this accidentally. It's similar to doing a crawl of a site with any other search engine or tool. It will literally never come to this but if they question it, blame your SEO guy. Everyone else does. lol Say "my SEO guy must be doing some competitor research." Us SEO guys do that all the time for pretty much every client. We'd not really be doing our job if we didn't.

Rogerbot will not crawl my site! Site URL is https but keep getting and error that homepage (http) can not be accessed. I set up a second campaign to alter the target url to the newer https version but still getting the same error! What can I do?
It will probably help if you delete the following line from your robots.txt file: User-Agent: rogerbot Disallow: / Dirk PS You also block /js/ for all bots - Google doesn't really recommend that

URL Link Counts
Hey Becky I recommend looking at the metrics directly in OSE to get a side-by-side comparison https://moz.com/researchtools/ose/comparisons?site=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.key.co.uk%2Fen%2Fkey%2Fsack-trucks You will find a breakdown of the page, sub-domain, and entire root domain metrics at this link. Hope this helps!

Does Moz's keyword tool pull data from your IP address?
Hiya! With respect to locations for rankings, there are 3 things I wanted to touch on. First, when collecting your rankings, Moz makes no assumptions whatsoever about your physical location. The location information that we use is specified by the campaign settings that you enter, whether that comes in the form of the country-specific search engines that you're tracking within your campaign settings or the locations that you've specifically assigned to keywords for local tracking. As far as these national keywords go, Moz is querying the search engine in a process that completely strips personalization from the query. This means that it's more representative of a national average for all searchers in the country, but it also means that you may not be able to reproduce these exact SERPs within your browser because your location is factored into your search results. For local keywords, I can't speak to the exact method that we utilize to represent local searches, but I can say that (at least for Google) we no longer utilize cookies to make location-specific determinations. I hope this helps to explain!

How can I find duplicate pages from a Moz Crawl?
Thanks for taking the time to respond. The open site explorer is helpful for issues that have a manageable number of internal links. However, for the example above and a few others like it on our website it is not that helpful because isolating the link would still require us to click on the pages individually to view the source code. This is because most of our errors are minor errors such as an omitted slash or capitalization. Such errors are flagged as duplicate content in our Moz crawl but the links still work because they redirect to the correct page and thus they are not able to be isolated on the open site explorer. Unfortunately the .csv is no help at all because it only shows the page being linked to not the page where the actual link is coming from. Are we just out of luck on this or is there another option?

Where, geographically, does Rank Tracker track from?
You cannot unless you can use Moz bar to do you anonymous searches in Google.ca .de etc. Like I said in the beginning if you want that type of information by zip code you will have to use a tool like SERPS.com or http://isearchfrom.com

Duplicate Content on Website with Multiple Locations
HI, It doesn't redirect the user, no. It tells Google 'which URL' you prefer to be indexed. Now, again I don't believe that this is the best option, as you want BOTH cities to rank. Does it affect the rankings? Yes, because you are saying Page A is more valuable than the duplicated Page B- leaving Page B out in the wild as the less important page for ranking. So, again having two versions of the domains ( based on the cities) isn't beneficial, these should both be under one domain ( wp installation) and adding a "locations" page, to reduce the self competition.
