  • Hi Everybody, I hope that everyone is having an amazing day and that all is right with the world. As Keszi said, this is an excellent question to email help@moz.com to because you can have a 1:1 correspondence with a customer service representative. Also, we can discuss details concerning the account outside of a public forum. Hopefully this helps and if you have any trouble reaching out to us please feel free to let me know here. Have an awesome day!

  • If you treat it like an EMD, then yeah. There's an advantage much like .com EMDs. I've seen gtlds rank better than .coms. Besides that, it's fair game and will depend on your SEO.

  • Will it run again automatically? The reason I ask is because it reported a bunch of problems with my site. I made changes to the site to try to fix it. I'd like to rerun the test to find out if I did indeed fix them.

  • This was driving me crazy so i made a small in browser jquery script.  First you need to load in jquery via the firebug or chrome console.  You need to be on the page that has the contacts in gmail.  You run this script in the console: (function( $ ) { $.fn.pop = function() { var top = this.get(-1); this.splice(this.length-1,1); return top; }; $.fn.shift = function() { var bottom = this.get(0); this.splice(0,1); return bottom; }; })( jQuery ); var list = $('.MN.MQ.abJ'); var counter = 0; var total = list.length; var timer, timer_two; contact = list.shift(); contact.click(); timer = setTimeout(function(){cycle(list);},2000); counter++; function cycle(){ if($('.abZ').filter(':visible').attr('href')){ console.log($('.abZ').filter(':visible').attr('href')); } window.location.href ='https://mail.google.com/mail/u/1/#contacts/group/XXXXXXXXXX/YYYYY'; timer_two = setTimeout(function(){wait();},2000); } function wait(list){ list = $('.MN.MQ.abJ'); i = 0; while(i++ < counter){ this_contact = list.shift(); } counter++; this_contact.click(); timer = setTimeout(function(){cycle();},2000); } Edited to update code a bit. its faster now and better.  You might want to disable "extensions.firebug.showXMLHttpRequests;false" in about:config for the duration of the logging so that it doesn't get all clogged up with post requests. Important! make sure to replace https://mail.google.com/mail/u/1/#contacts/group/XXXXXXXXXX/YYYYY with the correct path to your contact list list.  if you have multiple pages of contacts you can let the script finish and then do the next page by changing: https://mail.google.com/mail/u/1/#contacts/group/XXXXXXXXXX/YYYYY to https://mail.google.com/mail/u/1/#contacts/group/XXXXXXXXXX/YYYYY/P1 then https://mail.google.com/mail/u/1/#contacts/group/XXXXXXXXXX/YYYYY/P2 and so on. You could probably tighten up the timers a bit.  Eventually you get a list of all the google plus account urls in the console log.  You copy this out and then import to google plus page via circloscope. Cheers, Adrian

  • For anyone who is interested, it seems like they very recently fixed this for UK (and possibly other users) so I have been able to change the page name via the interface. Cheers Facebook!

  • Well, do you really want to hide your contact page? If someone's looking to contact you, don't you want your contact page to rank? If you noindex, follow links to your contact page, you won't retain the link juice flowing out from that link. You'll just lose it entirely. Google understands that your conversion page will often be the most linked-to page on your site. It's fine to do that, and it shouldn't throw off the perceived structure at all. Hope this helps!

  • Exactly, +1 and followers are independent. +1 I guess continue to rise because Google+ is becoming a more active network, especially for online marketing professionals.

  • Authorship photos are showing up in some places, but not in others on my sites. Looks like profile page images have stayed up, while many blog author image results have disappeared. Another example: If you're logged in to Google and an author in your circles turns up in search, the image will likely be there; search the same term Incognito, and the image might be gone. Another good article I read: http://www.virante.org/blog/2013/12/19/authorshippocalypse-google-authorship-penguin-finally-appeared/

  • I didn't mean that I have a problem with the redirects... I meant that I have a problem of placing a specific url (the old url) inside the href of the Facebook like element and its default is the page it is placed in. If you have a solution for that I'd be happy to hear it

  • Thank you Bradley. I've managed to reduce my menu today to just 1 sub category per main category and it's brought the links down a lot - I'm going to see what other links I can reduce as well. I've actually got a blog (rpamx.co.uk/blog) that I will be posting regular content onto to try and drive more traffic. The blog is wordpress, I hardly use the magento cms. If you have further experience to share with magento I'm sure it will be of benefit to us all. thankyou so much for replying.

  • I know I'm resurrecting something pretty old but I've got a question along the same lines. I know footer style credit links are supposed to be effectively pointless for link juice or whatever, but I'd have to imagine that credit links such as; Web Design by Orange Digital Serve as decent citations. Now I just took over the SEO for this company who used to have a different name and have a lot of credit links that say; Web Design by Former Company Name My question is, is it worth going out of my way to alter the credit link to put an updated name in it for citation reasons? Keep in mind this niche does not have map listings activated in my area. Cheers.

  • Hey Bryan! Oren is right! We host with Wistia, because we can still tackle Google video results without diverting our traffic back to YouTube. We like to keep folks on our site. Also, Wistia's embed is fully customizable, so it looks like with any design we push out. Check out this video to learn more about Youtube vs Wistia hosting http://wistia.com/learning/advanced-seo-with-distilled Keep the awesome questions coming!
