Has there been any feedback from Google regarding their mass mail blunder?
I'v had real time for a couple of weeks now, its fun to follow instant and see how the user navigates througt your site but more then that??... I cant see it. I haven't seen any drops in google organic yet and I still get data for all my keywords, I wonder how this will turn out.

Subdomains seen as one site
Well you want to see them as they are considered for ranking. If for ranking a subdomain link is considered an internal link then yes, thats how WMT should report it.

Google Panda 2.5 Update?
Mo said: "A neglected website of mine with lots of (not so great) content rocketted onto top of second page from absolutely nowhere. Other sites with good link profiles seem to have dropped. " I've seen the same thing. Two sites in the same niche - one main commerce site and one supporting information/community site. The latter has been largely neglected over the last 18 months. Few updates, no link building. The former is constantly updated with good, substantial content, is supported by social media activity and has good new links built constantly. It is a strong brand in its niche. The info site, on the other hand, is not strongly branded. The weak, neglected site is now outperforming the main commerce set for our trophy keywords and for several other volume, high conversion phrases. Some significant drops for the commerce site. For us the change happened on the confirmed Panda 2.5 day at the end of the month.

Any pointers for my site would be greatly apprecieated and rewarded.
1. You do not need the keywords meta tag at all. I've been working on this one. 2. The description should be in sentence form, not a list of keywords. It should be written as a 1-2 sentence sales pitch. Working on this as well for products as well as the home page. 3. You can put your brand name at the end of the title tag to give more weight to the keywords. Just keep it under 70 characters so it doesn't get cut off. Will that really give more weight to the keywords? If so then why? 4.You have a bit of CSS and JS in the source code. Get that into an external file. I will let my client know to do this, but what are the benefits? 5.The canonical tag is missing. I thought this was for only duplicate content? 6. Maybe you want to use some social sharing buttons, and include the FB open Graph meta tags (i see you have them on the blog, that's good) You really think I need them on the home page as well? Should I include the open graph meta tag on all pages or just one?

Sub domains in WMT
Hi Alan, Since the subdomains are captured within the root domain, all subdomains will always be seen within the root domain unless they are successfully blocked. As I understand it, Google's view of the world is that every specific account created in Webmaster Tools is a separate site. Hope that helps, Sha

Identifying Roadblocks In Switching To Megento
Without going into the detailed components of any website transition, expect the usual drop in rank temporarily. The new structure and content will have to be indexed again. To minimize the impact, remember why you're doing this in the first place. If you're tidying up your SEO through the transition (and it would be silly not to), you'll be in a better position a few weeks out of the gate. Secondly, for those businesses relying on new visitors for the lion's share of revenue, you have to rely on secondary channels. If you haven't developed a great Adwords campaign yet, now's your opportunity. It is almost customary for me to triple Adwords spend the first few weeks out of a transition when a client has enough history to justify a highly-targeted and tracked Adwords spend. A series of emails to our client list is also done in concert with the 'new look'. Knowing nearly zilch about your business, mitigating the fallout is going to be tough because it necessarily relies on your alternative channels. If your question is geared toward the details of a transition, there are tons of articles already here on SEOMoz and elsewhere on this subject. As you probably already know from doing your research, your efforts should be focused on polishing your on-page SEO, making sure your 301 redirects are ready and functional, and doing what you can get a jumpstart on any indexing issues that Googlebot might find.

Does stolen content matter anymore?
I don't have the time or money to try anything else except a DMCA takedown. If they aren't willing to honor it, and they weren't, then it's just a pain in the butt. There are some DMCA takedown services that are willing to try "alternative channels" to attempt to get your content taken down, but it is much more expensive. I don't think it has anything to do with the country, really, I think it is simply that their service provider is a jerk and wants to make it as hard as possible on me. I don't pay him any monthly money, that guy who stole my stuff does.

How many small businesses use SEO?
I have an answer. Less than ten in any industry niche. Why that number? That is how man fit on the first page of Google and everyone else - even if they do SEO - is not getting much out of it.

How many total independent SEO professionals are there in the US?
Like most low barrier of entrance, web-based businesses, there are endless pseudo-professional "firms" and "individuals". To get a rough estimate of licensed, established consultants and firms, try counting DMOZ entries. It's not fool-proof, but neither is your question. Did this answer your question?

Should we be concerned with the TLD .XXX?
It probably will not help or hurt google looks at each site on an individual basis - tld is not important unless you are talking at about country specific google websites like google.ru for example and having an ru tld.

Google Products / Google Shopping
Thanks for taking the time to answer guys... "take the time out to highlight the slightly different features of each product and put each of them on a different page." I would if I could the differences are minor, sometimes only about the product size. I am more concerned about user experience, adding them on different pages will overwhelm the site with very similar products. Each page typically has 4 product variations I know its not ideal but is there any reason why I cannot pick one of the variations and leave the other 3 out?
