PPC Billing
One model I have seen used is to set a minimum for your services, and then use a goal based fee, or % fee based on spend on top of that floor. Regardless of their spend though you need that minimum cost built in to get you enough time to cover your bases (reporting, meetings with clients, and initial setup costs spread out over duration of contract). This can be troublesome as you may get someone spending $1000 per month and your minimum is $500 so they are paying you $500 at least to manage $1000. That is usually ok though as you don't want so many small accounts that your focus is too split. This model helps you be flexible with larger accounts, and allows you to work with them based on the size of the campaigns, the management time you think it will take, and how detailed they want their reporting to be. It also helps qualify out smaller jobs that will probably just distract you. We were going for fewer, but bigger clients though. The $200/month guys are going for volume. Both can be valid business models, it just depends on how you setup your management time, reporting, and costs for customizing your standard plans. Hope that helps!

Http://www.springmetrics.com/ vs SEOMOZ.org
I have to agree with both Pashmina and Opt. Springmetrics.com and SEOmoz are totally different tools. For optimizing your site (or your client's site) for SEO, SEOmoz is the way to go - no question. When you want to measure the revenue and conversions for the keywords for which you have optimized (along side of your other PPC, email, and social media campaigns), then you use SpringMetrics.

Channel Conversion Rates
Joshua - thank you for the reply, it is always helpful for me to compare stats with others in the industry. I also found it odd that the direct wasn't higher, however they domain has a great keyword in it so they benefit quite a bit from that. Other than that they have a pretty low domain authority (less than 20).

Do Google Autofill and Instant Search affect Adwords' Keyword Tool reports?
i just read something about this actually. According to google, an impression only counts if the visitor presses enter or clicks off of the search bar or sees the results for no less than 3 full seconds. To google that counts as a search. So "windo" could be a number of things. it could be that people typed that in and then pressed the search button or enter. Or it could mean people started typing "window" and clicked off after "windo". Or it could mean that they startted typeing "window" and before finishing they started to look at the results and stayed on the SERP for longer than 3 seconds. hope that helps.

I linked to a couple of resources over on distilled some time ago: http://www.distilled.net/blog/ppc/combining-search-and-display-advertising/ Are any of those what you are looking for? Microsoft research is generally pretty powerful in this area.

My client's resort, ME Cancun would like to rank for the keyword “Complete ME” and related modifiers. So any advice or ideas you have to improve our performance on this keyword is appreciated.
The phrase your client selected will be very challenging and require solid dedication and SEO work. Your client wishes to rank for "Complete ME". My definition of ranking is appearing on the first page of Google results. Using that definition, you are trying to compete on generic words rather then a unique brand. This type of ranking is the most challenging. It is made much more difficult based on the following: "Complete Me" is part of a very famous movie line "You Complete Me" said by Tom Cruise. "Complete Me" is also part of a song "You Complete Me" by Keyshia Cole. There is a wiki page titled "Complete Me" which will take one of the first page result slots There are books, clothing line and an opera which use that phrase. With the above understood, here are some steps to improve your rankings: 1. Make a page optimized for that single phrase. The page's title should be "Complete ME" 2. Use anchor text where appropriate throughout your site directing visitors to the "Complete ME" page 3. Earn links from other sites using "Complete ME" and several variations of anchor text 4. Use solid SEO on the page. Ensure your title is a H1 tag which includes "Complete ME", and your content uses the term at least a couple times.

Generally speaking words like insurance, attorney, lawyer, etc. pay well. Anything involving very high dollar figures can pay well. There are a few lists out there but here is a current list of payouts for August 2011: http://onlinearnings.com/2011/08/11/august-2011-highest-paying-adsense-keywords/ To figure out keywords for your country, take a look at the following article: http://www.techlisten.com/how-to-find-high-paying-keywords.html

Your site is in organic results for adwords keyword - improved quality score?
The Adwords account has no bearing on organic search. One of the biggest factors of your quality score in your Adwords campaign is your CTR. Your reasoning would be correct, if your controlling more real estate on the SERP results your ads and organic listing could be positively impacting your CTR.
