  • Hi Ilya, We're going through and looking at older, unanswered questions. Did you decide to go ahead and implement any of this combination? Do you have anything helpful from your experiences you could share, or do you still have any questions? Thanks!

  • "You will get notified if you create an APP and become an administrator. You'll get a Moderator View on your website AND in the APP. But read the link I posted above and mark this question as answered." Create an app?  I can program, but am new to Facebook.  I'm assuming there are apps out there I can add in.  Do you have a link for such an app and instructions on how to setup?

  • I've been testing a few solutions, but nothing has changed yet. It may be an issue of Bing's index and timing still, so I'll wait a few more days before trying something new. My facebook page id was correct in the open graph meta tags, however the URL linter said it was displaying twice. On another website I own, Bing properly attributes my fan page, without any open graph mention of the page id. Assuming it just follows the links that reciprocate. So, I've dropped the page id from my problem site to see if bing can make the connection on her own.

  • I've been able to add Google Analytics tracking code to Facebook and Tweet buttons. The only one I haven't is Google Plus but activity on that can be monitored in Webmaster Tools.

  • Right now, the way that we value facebook fans for different clients is by looking at our analytics and conversions. How many facebook users are referred to our website from our page, how many of those make a purchase? It really depends on your business, but right now I am seeing that retailers with a facebook page gain more conversions from their facebook page; specially when they post coupon codes just for their facebook followers.

  • Ya, I operate under that assumption about 301's, too. I also can see most every 301 that points to one of my sites on my SEO link tracking tools. However, I can not see links from LinkedIn on any of these. Check OpenSiteExplorer for your site, and see if it lists LinkedIn, and you'll see what I'm talking about. I'm pretty sure that the LinkedIn links are not treated like a 301. I am coming to believe that links on LinkedIn pass no link juice. Would you agree? How could we track/observe if my belief is correct or not?

  • Hi Tony, I had a very quick look at your site. Content ideas etc. from below are good. One of the easiest ways to increase this aspect is to make it easy to Tweet / Share. Can you bring AddThis or similar Share services into the design of the site? If people can see these on the site it is easy for them to share. I increased Shares of a TV Advert by 10 times by including this feature (video been on the site for 2 years, one year of which with AddThis). I hope this helps. Regards Geoff

  • I'm going to set this as an "Ongoing Discussion", as I'm not sure there's one right answer and it's interesting to see a mix of experiences. I'd lean toward the end of the content for a blog post, if only because many people don't want to endorse until they've read or at least scanned the material. If you put it in a fixed position, like the right column, and they scroll past it (if that column doesn't move), they might forget to go back.

  • They may look at the following (just a guess): follower to followed ratio number of people followed against length of time account has been running number of updates in relation to followed/follower numbers whether they have a naughty profile picture

  • To clarify, I agree with Joe's response as well. On your home page, like your facebook page. On the remaining pages of your site, tie the like function to the page. Some sites break their like buttons down further. You can have a product page which shows multiple products where you place a Like button next to each product. Another example would be this Q&A section. You can place a Like button next to each reply and Like them individually. The system offers a lot of flexibility and some experimentation is suggested to determine what works best for your site.

  • Any Ideas on how to to receive more LIkes and Shares. First, make content that everybody everywhere will want to "like" and "share" with all of their friends. Next, make it very easy for them to like or share your content buy using addthis.com buttons or other social sharing tools.

  • I'd say it's definitely worth adding to the homepages. If people like your client's website/brand, they might just +1 it, and it is a page that can constantly build up its +1s, rather than potentially out of date posts.
