Converting many URLS to 'SEO Friendly Format'
http://www.tfsupplements.com/store/cart.php?m=product_detail&p=1935 http://www.tfsupplements.com/store/cart.php?m=product-name.html I hate to burst your bubble, but I don't see that URL string as being that much more SEO friendly. Granted you are getting the benefit of the "name" in there, but there must be a better way. I am not a code monkey so I don't know exactly how the URL rewrites are done, but it appears that your site is already dynamic therefore you should be to produce a much cleaner url. I hired a programmer to do this for me. I'd go for something more like this: http://www.tfsupplements.com/store/product-name.html or http://www.tfsupplements.com/product-name/

How to tell if you have been penalised?
I see your homepage is back in the index in Google when I do a site: search, and in google.com it's showing up on the first page for a search of Advertising agency Cambridge from California. Did you figure out what happened and why you got back in? Or just celebrating that the page is including again? Glad to see it's back in there!

How Rel=Prev & Rel=Next work for me?
i could not find any rel=next or prev in those pages, there was a rel canonical. If you do a rel canonuical then you need to have the content on the canonical page. You can not have a page with ABC the canonical it to a page with XYZ. If you use rel next and prev. the fiorst page will have rel=next the last will have rel=prev, all pages in between will have both. Google will give credit to the first page with only rel=next, all links pointing to any of the pages will pass link juice to that first page. http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2011/09/view-all-in-search-results.html http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2011/09/view-all-in-search-results.html

How the hell do you find good PR websites?
First, you will need to define relevant for you. As to easily located, you will need to define easily. Everyone wants link building that is easy or easy to locate sources for. To date if it were easy, many of us would not be paid. I would start with what you know about your business (I am assuming you have a few sites that you use and are not an agency). Who would be credible sources for you? Do you blog in that industry? Who does and can do you read them? Can you send out sample blogs or articles to them? Then, you know who your competitors are most likely. I would look at the higher ranked ones and use Open Site Explorer and see who is linking to them. Those will be likely targets. I would take a look at what that links to/from to get an idea of what the one providing the link wanted. If you are in a highly competitive area like travel, etc. then you will see links that are for Chinese gambling sexual ginseng and you can just ignore them. Look for relevant again. You will need to read a bit about link building, strategies for asking for links, reporting bad links, etc. Put it in the search bar top right of this page. Then, go reading. The most important part of SEOmoz is the large group of highly competent (no not me, the others) individuals who answer questions, ask questions back, clarify, re-answer, and nail it. They even point out if they see where you are wrong and admit when they miss the mark. An example of what to read is here in a post from Cyrus Shepherd on Conquering Link Directory Best Practices. There are tons of these type posts and resources. Are the tools any good? Again I point to the people who post and answer questions how many of them are pro or above members? They are either rich, easy, or they believe in the tools and the people on SEOmoz. But best yet is this, on Christmas Eve at about 230 pm CST I got a call from a potential client who with offices in Africa, South America, and the US who does a lot of business (I have been speaking with him for a couple of months). While I have Spanish speaking clients and English, I do not have anyone there or with experience in Africa. I told him the truth, if we can't help you there we will tell you. He said, oh, Africa's not that big of a problem...they all speak English and we have feet on the ground. Just the same, if I need help it is here on SEOmoz - but it won't be easy. (Yes, he is now a client). Read everything you can find on here. When you see someone reference a post or article with a link, go read that. Ask every question you can and don't be afraid to be wrong. If you are willing to work, you can get there. And, if you find an easy way to get some quality, high page rank, relevant links, Please, Please let us know. Best

Web fonts & SEO
It's probably a bit of a balancing act. The advantage of using web fonts is that it makes the text that you would have "hidden" in images accessible - goof thing for SEO if the text includes keywords and/or describes the content. As you say, the downside is the additional load time. This depends on the particular font and of course where it's hosted. I've used the google hosted fonts on a project and not had any significant problems with speed. Speed can be a red herring though as you would have had to download the images before. If you're replacing lots of images with web fonts then you may actually be delivering fewer bytes. Perception can be different though as the browser has to download the font before it can render the text.

Unique Ip Hosting Question
Will there be any issues associated with moving them all to a reseller account with a single ip address? From a ranking perspective, the primary issue would be if the sites link to each other. Links to sites which share an IP are devalued since they are likely under the control of the same party. Search engines have numerous methods to relate sites beyond the IP so if you own a group of sites which link to each other, it is likely search engines may have already devalued any links you created to your other sites. Another concern of shared IPs is your "neighborhood". If you share an IP with porn sites, gambling sites, hacker sites, etc. it's possible some e-mail systems and companies have banned the IP on their networks which can restrict visitors from accessing your site or cause e-mail to be rejected. is there ever a possibility they will change our ips without notice or for any reason at all that will change and or fluctuate our rankings? Your web host owns the IPs assigned to your server so it is possible they could change the IP, but it is not normally done. If it does happen, an IP change should not have any effect on your rankings.

Always include the targeted keyword in the alt tag?
There is some good advice here from. Scott is right that your example is not inappropriate. EGOL is steering you very well also. When using alt text, most do not take advantage of what it can do for you. You can use around 140 characters and give a good description of the image (as if someone blind was hearing it) along with using keyword relevant text. I recently read that by having your images with good alt text get ranked in images that does have an effect on organic. Now, it wasn't Google saying it, but to a degree it makes sense it would have an effect - how much is anyone's guess. If your example is not close to what you are putting up, go with EGOL's advice and get a new image. (I suggest geo tagging it if at all possible as well). Hope this helps.

Should we deindex duplicate pages?
I am not sure there is an easy answer. I would calculate your losses on the de-indexation I would OSE the URL's in question (and verify through webmaster tools) See how many external sites point to them. If you do not have many incoming links, then I am not sure de-indexation is so bad, comparatively to the man hours or work needed to keep this up now and in the future. I think it would just become almost like a Profit and Loss (P&L) scenario. Also if you are already seeing duplicate content penalty's, in the grand scheme it may help to get rid of those pages as post PANDA it MIGHT be dragging you down. But really this is all speculation, as I am not fully "up to speed" with the exact situation, and the answer in my opinion would be based on alot of factors not just SEO. Hope this helps! Shane
