Removing Canonical Links
Yeah, your best bet is probably to switch the canonical to the old/main page "/widgets.php" - just removing the canonical tag doesn't always get Google's attention (or, at best, takes quite a while). If you can designate a new canonical, that should speed things up. Our on-page report may just be looking at the longer version with more content as being a bit better, but it's really tough to say. Without knowing the situation, I'm not clear on how the 2 pages differ or what kind of pagination you were using.

Meta Tag Force Page Refresh - Good or Bad?
I don't believe that tag causes an auto-refresh. Rather, it is used in combination with an auto-refresh to make sure that nothing is cached in the user's browser, which ensures that the entire page updated during the refresh. If I recall correctly, sending "no-cache" info in the http header is a better practice that using a meta tag. To quote from http://www.mnot.net/cache_docs/#META: "Meta tags are easy to use, but aren’t very effective. That’s because they’re only honored by a few browser caches, not proxy caches (which almost never read the HTML in the document). While it may be tempting to put a Pragma: no-cache meta tag into a Web page, it won’t necessarily cause it to be kept fresh." I couldn't say whether this would affect your page in terms of SEO, but I also don't think there's a reason to use the pragma tag anymore, so in my opinion, it's moot.

Issues with Sub domains for dealers
Mark is spot on - If you have the time, creative and/or resources to write thousands of pages of unique that's your best bet. If you don't however, have you tried making sure that your title, h1s, metas, etc., are all unique? If not, I would try that and re-submit your site through your webmaster tools...that's worked with many of my clients and allowed the each child subdomain to rank regionally. It's not the ideal solution, but it's a step in the right direction that won't hurt.

Where do I start? A little overwhelmed - Really appreciate any help.
Thanks Kynduvme, I have our priority keywords mapped out included a large volume of long tail. We are currently using Analytics and I've been able to get a good insight into how our customers are using the site. We are in the process of adding new features to increase visitor usage metrics (Galleries of notable purchases, click through tutorials, etc). Our on site meta is pretty bad, and needs to be redone. I've been waiting until our new features and revisions are up to change that however. We have a few hundred locations now and I've been making sure they're verified with Google Places. We've been seeing a lot of traffic through that. I really appreciate all the advice.

Link Building Ideas for a health site
Myblogguest.com is excellent for finding guest blogs. Also you can do Press releases from sources like PR Web to build some links. Find professional voices for your health related site, network with them and get them to share your articles. I dont look at competition for their back links as much as I used to. In my opinion, it's better to invest my time doing what the competition has not done, or thought of doing and not externally rather internally. What can you give your audience? what are they looking for? etc..

Keywords in domains losing power
This is FUD marketing. Google does not announce such changes. This is BS

Geo-Domain Centralization - Helps or Hurts a Long-Term Campaign?
I'm going with folders rather than subdomains, but I think we're both on the same page. A friend of mine suggested building out the content for the target domain (very well) first, and then starting the redirection process at a slow pace to test and to not send to quick or too large of a signal to Google. Thanks for the quick response.

Company Blog Vs External Blog
Hi Peter, Thanks for your reply. So do you advice on hosting these original articles on my own blog rather than an external blog? If so, does that mean that internal links have more value than external links? What If the external blog post was high authority? Thanks

SEO Best Practices for Video Sites
I would submit a video site map in GWT (http://www.seomoz.org/blog/video-sitemap-guide-for-vimeo-and-youtube) If your website is a normal website with videos in it, then I think should SEO as normal. SEOmoz transcribes all the dialogue in the video for their Whiteboard Fridays. Perhaps that can lead you in the right direction.

Outbound Links to Authority sites
Well put! I link out to a lot of .gov sites because they contain information that my customers find useful. As long as you are keeping your customers' needs in mind when writing content and/or linking, you are on the correct path.

GeoIP - Redirect all but target country
Hello, Thanks for this, and this is an old thread but I had a very smilar question to this. What do you exactly mean by indexation problems? Do you mean the Google refuse to crawl UK site in this example? So they don't index UK webpages? I don't think this make sense? or I am getting a wrong idea. I am just wondering where you found this information. I did my homework and SEOmoz ppl talked about "cloaking" video by Matt Cutt and He says GeoIP redirecting is fine? I am no where close to an expert but had to ask this question because I was trying to do the same thing, http://www.seomoz.org/q/redirecting-root-domain-to-subdirectory-by-ip-addresses-country-specific Thank you!

Ecommerce: Add new range to current website or Create a new one
I agree with Ben. I also believe that those new products should be somewhat relevant to your domain easywatering.co.uk and/or your business. DOn't be spamming just to try and land business.
