Do Query Strings strip SEO value?
Yes there is! But the specific query string/parameter GCLID is mostly ignored by the search engines as it's a parameter that is often used by search engines to identify users. For example, every link from Google Adwords will contain this parameter.

Sessions increase but pageviews decreased
I did found the same issue for my site last months. the issue was my referral traffic and some organic (spam keywords) traffic was drastically increased by spam traffic that make 90% to 100% bounce rate. Check out your referral traffic and organic, this can be the issue too.

Onsite calendar throwing out thousands of pages
Hi Luke Matt has the right idea. If the pages are going to "exist", you should block search engines from crawling them with the robots.txt file. I would get your dev to help, but basically you'd find the folder or path in which you want to crawler to stop at. Maybe it's /month/ or something and you'd block that in robots.txt. Ian covers this in his recent article about "Spider Traps". And you can also read about robots.txt on Moz or on Google.

"Unnatural links to your site" manual action by Google
Yes. It will often take me 3-6 weeks to do a thorough job on a manual penalty. I can do it faster if I dedicate all my time to it, but yeah...it's time consuming. If you don't get example links it usually means that you have a large number of unnatural links still not addressed.

How much SEO damage would it do having a subdomain site rather directory site?
There are a few good use-cases for subdomains; higher education sites use them frequently, and often have organizational need for it. Another instance I can think of is international websites that want to have different sites for each country in which they operate. This can help each division operate a site without having to go through HQ every time they need an update. That being said, given the typical website, with SEO considerations, I always favor subdirectories for the simple reason of keep all domain metrics (links, authority, etc.) together, rather than splitting the metrics across subdomains.

Should I include URLs that are 301'd or only include 200 status URLs in my sitemap.xml?
I agree with Logan. If the ratio of redirected or broken URLs is too high in your sitemap XML, there is a chance that Google won't crawl it as frequently as it should because the search robot doesn't want to waste resources on these URLs. The only time when redirected URLs are useful in the sitemap XML is when you're migrating the domain or make IA changes and you want to make sure that the search engine discovers the 301 redirections as quickly as possible.

Magento filtered page or multiple pages?
Great. It really sounds like they should keep the sub-categories

ALT Tag Labels that Use Near Duplicate Text-SEO No, No???
Could you give the main/featured image a custom alt attribute, and let the rest share a format like you show above? So like this: alt="Blue Cotton Tee by Billabong" alt="Alternate Billabong Tee Image 002" alt="Alternate Billabong Tee Image 003" alt="Alternate Billabong Tee Image 004" alt="Alternate Billabong Tee Image 005" I would not leave the rest without an alt attribute.

How to close Modal Popup Box to start tagging for Data Highlighter?
Hello Katherine, I hope I understand your question correctly. So you are using Google's Data Highlighter to mark up page elements on your site, but there is a pop-up window that you need to get rid of when using the highlighter? If you can't get rid of the pop-up when clicking on the X, have your developers temporarily disable it. If you turn off javascript on your browser it will probably kill the pop-up, but it would also probably keep GSC Data Highlighter from working. If you are trying to mark up the information within the pop-up, I'm not sure that's even possible with Data Highlighter. You would probably have to do that in the code on your site.

Product Pages not indexed by Google
I doubt that this would be causing the issue - as far as I can see the way the tags are implemented is according to the Google 'standards' - check: https://developers.google.com/webmasters/mobile-sites/mobile-seo/separate-urls?hl=en . If I do the mobile friendly test - it's confirming that the page is mobile friendly so Google is reading the tags correctly. Dirk

Best practice for removing indexed internal search pages from Google?
Hello, Sorry for the late answer, I have the same problem and I think I found the solution. For me works this: 1. Add meta tag robots No Index , Follow for the internal search pages and wait for Google remove it from the index. Be careful if you do **BOTH (**Adding meta tag robots and Disallow in Robots.txt ) Because of this: _Please note that if you do both: block the search engines in robots.txt and via the meta tags, then the robots.txt command is the primary driver, as they may not crawl the page to see the meta tags, so the URL may still appear in the search results listed URL-only. Souce: http://tools.seobook.com/robots-txt/_ I hope this information can help you.

Can Google read my backlink in Javascript??
Hi Hamed, Welcome to the Moz forum! Say, would you mind opening asking this question in a brand new thread? As this one is quite old, that will be the best way to get your question answered. Thanks! Christy

Should Schema.org Tags go on every page?
Hello Dmitrli, This does make sense. Just wasn't sure if you could "over optimize" for the Schema. Thank You for your response. B/R Will

Medical / Health Content Authority - Content Mix Question
I like Robert's ideas about making a site structure that segregates the topics by folder and by internal linking. My sites have very diverse topics and they rank well. I believe that it is more about the vigor of your publishing efforts, the quality of your content, and how well your visitors engage it.
