Trying to get links to a pdp of an ecommerce site
I personally believe that it takes a lot of work to keep up with regular blog posts. Especially if you have a lot of product pages you want to build links too. In addition, you will need to build links to your blog, in order for the links from your blog to be worth while. I still believe having a blog for your website is a good idea. I would follow the advice of EGOL posted here: http://www.seomoz.org/q/blog-content-practices-for-e-commerce-sites And I would give consideration to another great post that simplifies some good link building methods here: http://www.seomoz.org/ugc/10-ways-to-link-build-for-free

Are Guest Post Anchor Text Links Evil?
Thanks Joe. I thought he was talking about corporations asking if they can provide a guest post with specific anchor text links, but I'll have to go back and listen again. I agree that links should be relevant to the topic of the article. In a way I think guest post links are very similar to paid links in that you are exchanging a link for something of value (writing services) so it seems like a loophole to the rule of no paid links.

Is publishing content on multiple platforms like Tumblr, Blogger, Posterous, etc. a legit way to build backlinks?
Saibose, Do you think links from a wordpress blog are better?

So I ran into a site that was not ranking 4 days ago and has over 2 million links to it on some keywords. My guess is this is a link bomb, but the issue is this is pushing one of my sites down. Does anyone know a good way to over come a bomb like this?
When I search for "jewelry display" the riogrande.com site shows as the 5th result. The page that appears is actually a search result page. It has a PA of 1 with no links. This type of page can bounce in and out of SERPs.

What would you do with unqiue articles?
I agree with EGOL. When people say that your best content belongs on your website, I always ask myself - why are you spending time creating content that isn't your best? Whether you intend to put an article on your website or use it for a guest post opportunity, you owe it to yourself to only put your name on the best quality work you can produce. You'll create way more opportunities for yourself down the road as you start to be seen as an expert in your niche.

Surprised what the Market Samurai guys are suggesting.
It's certainly possible that this strategy can help you rank well for your target keywords. It's also a short-sighted strategy that more than likely will cause headaches down the road. We're seeing Google continue to move in a direction that favors unique, socially engaging content, and there's nothing to suggest that this trend is going to change anytime soon. Your best bet would be to take the advice of a certain company known for their linkbuilding expertise: http://www.seomoz.org/article/the-professional-guide-to-link-building-2011 Another, less biased, answer is: it depends. Perhaps your goals are right for a more short-term approach. Perhaps you have a very high risk tolerance. It is the opinion of many that SEO is not really an ethical issue, but more of a business decision, and in that vain, the best course of action is whatever is right for your company - including black hat approaches.

Inbound Links from a Blog
It sounds like you are thinking like this..... "Man, it is really hard to get links from other websites. I just build a blog and use it to give links to my site." The links from a blog will not pass value unless it gets links from other websites. Then most of that value will be stuck in the blog and only a tiny amount will pass out through the links that you have to your main site. So, if you really want to support your main site, publish the blog in a folder on the main site and fill with highly linkable content, fantastic content... then every link that hits the blog will count for the link popularity and domain popularity of your main site. With great content the blog can be a fantastic asset on your site. In addition to attracting links it can be a showcase of your expertise and a reference for your visitors. Now about the .org.... it will have the same weight as a .com. Google treats all types of domains equally.

Does This Really Annoy You
I would not worry too much that is just a .info spam website, what the do is they use content spinners to generate very low quality articles then they keep churning them out on their websites. It is all a ploy to gather more revenue from existing ad units. The thing is they probably do not even rank.

Youtube Backlink
Youtube is a huge site and is probably crawled daily, I would imagine if your link is not showing up after several months then there must be something wrong on your side. Would you care to share the Youtube channel, I understand if you don't want to but just trying to help.

Negative SEO
I thought that there was more of a delay in OSE than in webmaster tools on average, but I could be wrong. I'm sure it depends on when the next Linkscape update is for OSE.

Outbound links and their pro's and con's
Wait.... your question is so extreme that I must answer in a realistic way... Apple is never, ever, ever going to link to every computer website. Some of them are not relevant enough to content on Apple's website. Some of them are not good enough for Apple to give them a link. Some computer websites are blackhat. The day that Apple starts linking to everything everywhere is the day that their links are worthless. Keep that in mind when you start linking out. Keep that in mind when you evaluate the value of a link coming to you. Link only to relevance. Link only to quality. Link only to good sites. If you do that you will have a great site. You keep looking for a "limit". The limit isn't a number. The limits are relevance, quality and virtue.

Is there a way to Rank above wikipedia?
Ranking above Wikipedia is the same as ranking about any other site. You just need to be relevant with strong links and social social signals. I have sites that rank above wikipedia on several topics because the sites are more relevant than the one Wikipedia page, but it really depends on the subject matter as to how easy it is. But, once again, just treat it like any other site.

Is it safe to do a lot of links to a new post on an old domain?
Hello Jimmy, I think there is no problem no matter how many links you build for a new page on an old domain. If you're doing quality link building (which takes time) it does not matter what the number of links is. You are probably thinking that google might misinterpret it to be spamming or using black hat methods... but I doubt it. Cheers!

No Follow Blogs. Do they help with keyword density?
My apology , but i disagree only on one thing "... you can almost guarantee yourself ..." On a topic that is perfectly on grey zone like this (where not even the Google Webmaster prohibited it directly) , i know that i wont be able to guarantee it myself (even when it is backed with huge amount of correlated data) All I am saying is, PERHAPS based on the correlation data made by mad scientist in SEOMOZ, the effect for links coming from Comment on Blog is not correlated to high rank , but as said by many correlation is not causation .. Again many on-going debate is running for this kind of discussion but no one can say "i guarantee it " (unless if uncle google decided to participate in this discussion himself) xD my 2 cents

How soon should links show up in OSE?
I don't know how frequently Google will index new links. For OSE, the linkscape release date was the 25th, but the crawl was done probably a couple of weeks before that. It takes some time to crawl, then some time to process those results.
