Tools for seaching for keyword rich domains
The problem with GoDaddy's domain name generator is that the results are so random. Yes, it may show you ton of options, but they are not very good. A better solution is to find keyword rich domains are by using a tool like Agile Domain Search (http://agiledomainsearch.com). It's a new, powerful domain name generator engine. Simply enter the keyword you wish to include and it will find great .com domains for your website.

Website Updates
If you do the appropriate amount of keyword and other research before making the changes, then you most likely wont be super surprised by the way Google interprets your changes. As an additional safe guard you should closely monitor your rankings after you make the changes. If you notice too much of negative impact as a result of the changes, change your content back and start over with a different approach. Research and monitoring are key!

I'm starting an online training school and need some advice.
Good advice Matt-POP! Thanks for taking the time to respond. I totally get what you mean. I think I'll go for the quick start and look to build a bigger LMS system in the background once I have proven my awesome training skills and that people are prepared to buy them. Thanks again.

Moz_pagespped and seo
To prevent the URL rewrites by PageSpeed, follow the documentation here https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/module/restricting_urls. You can add the following to your config file: ModPagespeedDisallow "http://example.com/.jpg" or ModPagespeedDisallow ".jpg"

Exact keyword match for meta title and h1 what is best practice?
I agree with you Massimiliano, Overall that is a great strategy and yes, just because they get more volume does not mean they are the best keywords. Different keywords are used at different stages of the buying cycles. In this case I was just telling Tamir how I would choose the order from those specific combinations of the same 5 words. Assuming he has done his research and those are the keywords he is going to target. Getting traffic is one step in the game, converting the traffic is another important step as well. Best Regards, Joe

Social plugin making URLs wonky, would this hinder SEO efforts?
oh and just a note, no actual redirection is happening, the plugin is simply adding a query string to the end of the URL when the page loads.

2000 Active pages 404 on LIVE Ecommerce site - what will google do now?
It is very unlikely that you would receive any penalties for having 404 errors in such a short time frame. It is common for 404 errors to happen, from others linking to pages on your site that don't exist or removed content. Search engines typically just ignore the pages and move on. It would only be problematic if your site continually creates new 404 errors. This would show a pattern of bad site design and may hurt you. Hope this helps, Don

Links in my website are indexed as separate pages
Hi Riccardo, There are couple of errors with your code there. Firstly, the noindex attribute is used at a page level, not link level. If you want to noindex a page you should use the meta robots tag on the page itself. There is more information on the meta robots tag here. The nofollow attribute however, can be used at link level. You're essentially telling the search engines not to crawl this link. Secondly, the attribute isn't wrapped around any text so it's wasted code having it there. If you want your anchor text, 'Kumar' to be in italics, you should close the tag after the word. Also, replacing the tag with an tag (short for emphasis) is considered good practice. ____Finally, try not to use spaces in your anchor text. Modifying your code in this way will give you this: If you want the anchor text to be in italics: Kumar If you do not want the anchor text to be in italics: Kumar If you're interested in learning more about HTML (it's really easy!) W3C Schools is a good place to start. Happy coding!____

Is it possible that not having cookie warning message penalizes our SEO?
I completely agree with Massimiliano. There's absolutely no reason why you should receive any kind of penalty for this.

Call to Actions in Meta Descriptions
I think that they help more for conversions and click through rate personally. It could help with your brand recognition, which can have a positive effect on your SEO. I use them more for CTR than SEO. Which I guess the CTR is important to SEO as well. So in a round a bout way, call to actions can help your SEO.

Is this still considered true about INTERNAL anchor text? "Penguin seems to be targeting overly aggressive anchor text (both internally and externally), especially from low-quality sources."
Here's Matt Cutts on the subject: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ybpXU0ckKQ Basically he's saying that you are perfectly ok to have exact match anchored internal links. But, if it becomes really obvious that you're overdoing it to try to manipulate Google then you're at risk for a manual penalty. Look at wikipedia. They are the perfect example of a site that has a LOT of exact match anchors. And they do pretty well.

SEO Optimization for Sales Page
The first question I asked in this forum was very similar to this. It can be very difficult to optimize sales pages, especially the long-form very sales-y type. In many cases there really isn't anything you can do to the content because the sales copywriter chooses very specific language to get the message across. Additionally, these pages tend not to be the sort of thing people will link to. What I eventually chose to do was to use the targeted, helpful information page you mentioned to draw in the organic search and not worry about the sales pages beyond title, description, and canonical. However if you do have the option to make your helpful information page and your sales page one and the same, that is a great choice.

Duplicate Blog pages across different domains
Hi Andrei, I wholeheartedly agree with Ryan on this. When you say you have "3 separate blogs for 3 separate domains which are more or less identical", do you mean that the entire domains are nearly identical (which would be the case if these domains all stand-alone blogs.) Or is the content on each domain unique, with the exception of the blog? Let us know, thanks! Christy

Build pages to target keywords, or audiences, or both?
I would look to see if the happy medium could be in the way "Calls to Action" are used within the pages of the site. This way by introducing "signals" it indicates to the end user, that they can see the quality, experience the company and also enquire or buy. I imagine what you really want is an advertorial style site with Showcasing projects, products, call to action at the end or sprinkled amoungst the narrative. Hope this is food for thought Bruce

Thank you for the recommendations.

Should product variations be visible individually?
You can look into the use of the Canonical Tags as well and tag the pages you don't want to rank and then make 1 main page with all the color variations.

New site pages are indexed but not ranking for anything
Matt, For those ping tools do you put the url of the directory where the link is or the pages of the site that I'm trying to rank?
