Hi Peter, Did this answer your question, or are you still looking for some help?

Is it best to optimize your site for just one or two keywords?
Thanks guys. All of this is a big help. I believe what I've done is pretty close to what everyone is saying. I may need to add a few pages to the website and I'll be sure to add some posts optimized with extra terms.

Is rel=canonical used only for duplicate content
Also check out Rand's post about what to do when the "wrong" page is ranking. This isn't the right use of a canonical tag in your situation. http://www.seomoz.org/blog/wrong-page-ranking-in-the-results-6-common-causes-5-solutions

Should I be afraid to launch new website?
I haven't heard too many people talk about switching back to the old website, and sorry I don't have any advice to give you there. Since your original question was asked, this great post about migrating your website has been published on the SEOmoz blog that can really help make sure you have a lot of the correct things done for a site migration. Best of luck! http://www.seomoz.org/blog/web-site-migration-guide-tips-for-seos

To Optimize Brand Name or Product Name First on Product Pages for E-Commerce Website?
I would say that if the brand name is well known, it would go first, if not, I think the product.

Do you bother to nofollow links out to Facebook etc?
I'd advise you firstly look at the purpose of the nofollow attribute to answer this one. When you nofollow, you're telling Google that you don't want to pass your page's reputation to the pages linked to. There's therefore no reason why you would want to nofollow the social profiles. You want to give reputation to these pages, you want them to rank for the brand etc. It wouldn't cause "over-optimization" signals but it's pointless nofollow'ing such links.

Keyword Stuffing in Alt Tags!
Thank you for the answer Harald. At first it seemed right to me to have nice alt tags. But now i am sure that it is text which can be read both by humans and engines and it is not ok to stuff those KW. I will rewrite them. I am curious though if i'll rank better after that.

Hi Moz peeps, google said that we should have two site maps...
David I think what you are referring to is HTML sitemaps vs XML Sitemaps and the inclusion of both. Google prefers XML and people use HTML : From GWMT - Sitemaps are a way to tell Google about pages on your site we might not otherwise discover. In its simplest terms, a XML Sitemap—usually called Sitemap, with a capital S—is a list of the pages on your website. Creating and submitting a Sitemap helps make sure that Google knows about all the pages on your site, Including URLs that may not be discoverable by Google's normal crawling process. I agree with the others, that an HTML sitemap can be helpful to visitors. For indexing, we use XML. Best

Is it ok to put a strapline on every website page or does it confuse the bots?
Thanks Robert, that makes total sense. I'll go ahead and keep the tagline and the address - I agree about the Google Places local search thing.

Duplicate Title & Content in WordPress
Thanks. Sorry if this is a basic question, but if I describe lets say the august2010 category as Comedy podcasts from August 2010 even in front of the loop won't that repeated title still cause the errors?

Home Page Keyword Retargeting
I would do ppc to test your keywords first, then change your focus.

WordPress - optimizing for new keywords on page or post?
Thanks Martin for your answer - you might be right but there are a bunch of cluttering links/related posts/authors info etc. at the post which might "damage" the SEO power. On my pages there are much less such issues. I'm also thinking of having some kind of "landing" pages for the most common keywords and work on them from time to time, instead of having a post which will be needed to get re-written then.

Using content for cliche' terms, or content found on other sites
First of all David you have to check the content that you had copied. It has been checked through various duplicate content checker tool & see the result. If the result is more than 20% then change the content because it affects your site as far as SEO is concerned. I'm sending you a link which solves the duplicate content & also contains the duplicate content checker tool. http://www.shimonsandler.com/duplicate-content-tools/
