  • I agree with Chris's statement.  A good way to integrate this into your website would be to publish the title, a few highlighted paragraphs, and a link directing users to the full post. Your website visitors will see that you're actively blogging and can consume the content, but you won't need to worry about stepping on any toes of the original publishers. Many publishers have policies regarding republishing content that they accept, so check there first.

  • Moz has a very comprehensive list of recommended firms here: [http://moz.com/community/recommended].  I can't personally speak for any of them, but the list seems well researched and vetted.  Hope this helps.

  • Rewrite your website with good copy. Often poor copy is usually the result of the time poor. We rush to get a website up quickly and cut and paste. I suggest you go to a website like freelancer or similar and have some one bid on writing good copy for you. I have used this in the past to have someone write me a few blog pages (which I then customize to my style). They do all the research and make up the content. Look for someone with a good history and feedback. Instead of blog pages they can be content for your website. If you do have the time. This is the process I follow write down everything I know about a topic in bullet points (it can be typed) sort these points into something that makes sense. discard the duplicate or irrelevant points identify the key words or topic from these points develop an opening paragraph sort out the remain points into coherent sentences and structure. Closing / Contact us paragraph Have someone else reread it for clarity and understanding, make any changes. Finally go back and tweak it for keywords and seo Good luck with your website.

  • Why don't you write about how the equipment is being used. How it solved a problem. Perhaps a case study on how a client used it and how it improved their business. That way it is irrelevant on various models or even the same model. People love seeing how equipment can solve problems. If well written your clients will love it and perhaps put the case study up on their website and link it back to you.

  • You can't stop the link from their site working.... Definitely contact the Webmaster site first and if that doesn't work you can set up a htaccess redirect for any traffic coming specifically from that site... Send them to a page saying "sorry" and make the most of the traffic and try and sell them something else Old article here but it may help: http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum10/3086.htm

  • Another suggestion is to post your request on craigslist. Interview the potential candidates and negotiate the project fee. Most of the freelancers are pretty flexible on price as they need work.

  • I personally like the inbound link aspect of blogs as well as google authorship.  You can also use guest bloggers to expand your audience.

  • Thanks Dan, I had a feeling this may be an option, good to know that others are doing the same. I am a bit new to the world of SEO and wasn't sure what kind of effect would come from multiple sitemaps. Much appreciated!

  • Darren, This is probably OK but it is on the edge.  I would suggest some before and after photos for local jobs.  You might want to talk about what part of town these are in along with what was interesting/challenging about the job.  I would change the layout of your bullet points for each page. You might want to use these different locations to test different styles to test conversion rates while you are at it. Ron

  • Hello, There definitely wouldn't be any harm from using a consistent bio and definitely help your branding but from an SEO perspective I could see varying it slightly based on what page or site it is on.  Fore example to help build more direct links to your Prestashop services landing page I would create a bio flaunting your expertise in Ecommerce and Prestashop and choosing the anchor text accordingly.   On the other hand if you're trying to increase your PA on your SEO landing page and your guest post is SEO related then why not make the link in your bio that much more relevant? I think creating 3 slightly diff bios that funnel link juice based on your priorities is a good idea. Milosz

  • Mark, One of the mistakes I believe people make on e-commerce sites is a lack of content.  I would not look at a percentage I would  look at how many potential searches you can pick up with each page you add. If you have social media set up look at the benefits of marketing this content through these platforms.  An area people often forget is Video and picture content.  This may be a good way to show up on searches your competitors are not showing up on. If you have competitors you want to get click share from you might want to look at Spyfu.  Their recon files program will allow you to see the key words and content that is actually getting clicks. They also have another tool that lets you look at your competitors paid advertising over time to see how their advertising has evolved. This might give you some good clues on your on line messaging and/or ideas for your own advertising or other marketing campaigns. Hope this helps, Ron

  • Just to touch on Chris point, (great point too!!) for your content production, make sure everyone on your staff contributing to the blog and/or content (or any Guest Author for that matter,/have Google+ profiles setup), so you can use the rel=author tag Here's a great step by step guide on it. It's an awesome way to get your content noticed in search results and helps people identify with the production. This will in turn, help your staff build a reputation and authority in the niche you are building and contributing too! Cheers!
