Who uses WordPress Tags anymore?
Maybe I'm missing something -- but I've never seen the benefit of tags to the end-user (at least as most site authors use them.) Tags are often displayed and authors often over tag. Many authors confuse tags with SEO page titles and come up with really bad ones. They also confuse tags with categories. I've tried and failed in the past to educate multi-author sites on the distinction between all these. Again, maybe I'm missing something -- but I just don't see tags as that important in the grand scheme of things. I focus my attention on ensuring posts are done in accordance with a regular schedule on agreed-upon topics in agreed-upon categories. We display by category, recency, and popularity. So who needs tags?

Too Many Links?
I liked your article. You had a lot of really good points. I think that a lot of non-SEO savvy people are still trying to build links by leaving comments, so it's good to advise people not to do that! I still think you should go looking for Panda issues for this particular client though. Yes, it's good to get rid of the unnatural links. But, if Penguin was the only issue for this site then you really should have seen your drop at the time of a Penguin update and there was no Penguin update in May of 2014.

Display a message after 301 redirect.
Ah sorry about missing the bracket. Yeah the ? query has to come at the very end, otherwise it interrupts the flow of the URL... So it should be C.com/blogpost-20?redirect=true There is lots you can do, but I understand that it may be a bit more work than you planned

PPC Billing
One model I have seen used is to set a minimum for your services, and then use a goal based fee, or % fee based on spend on top of that floor. Regardless of their spend though you need that minimum cost built in to get you enough time to cover your bases (reporting, meetings with clients, and initial setup costs spread out over duration of contract). This can be troublesome as you may get someone spending $1000 per month and your minimum is $500 so they are paying you $500 at least to manage $1000. That is usually ok though as you don't want so many small accounts that your focus is too split. This model helps you be flexible with larger accounts, and allows you to work with them based on the size of the campaigns, the management time you think it will take, and how detailed they want their reporting to be. It also helps qualify out smaller jobs that will probably just distract you. We were going for fewer, but bigger clients though. The $200/month guys are going for volume. Both can be valid business models, it just depends on how you setup your management time, reporting, and costs for customizing your standard plans. Hope that helps!

Tweet Archive
Ah, so it was me! You are absolutely correct, my apologies. Of course, if you only wish to follow the outgoing tweets from an account you control then there would not be any spam concerns.

Best Practices for having Social Profiles indexed
A quick side-question, I have an about me page: http://about.me/ioansaid Looks nice enough and all that and I guess it's quite friendly and less commercial looking of a link than my company link which is what I have in my twitter profile. Twitter has much higher authority and all that than About.me as you pointed it out so I thought that having my http://celynnenphotography.co.uk link there would be more beneficial than my about.me page. But perhaps the About.me would generate more clicks? I don't know.. Purely for SEO purposes, am I right in leaving my company's link there or perhaps should I put my About me and hope for more clicks?

Domain Authority and Page Rank concerns when using CNAME
Thank you Daniel. I know it's been awhile, but now just getting back to this. You pretty much substantiated what I thought to be true for the first part. I have heard of some workaround 301s when going from something like Blogger to a self hosted version. And I do believe that WordPress.com has a paid option to redirect all traffic if you go to a self-hosted blog. Thanks again!
