MOZ should add a toxic link checker tool to their incredible arsenal of SEO tools. Seems like a no brainer.
I have used link detox they are very good at what they do. The main differences are link detox uses majestic for their back link discovery. Moz uses Open site explorer If you want my opinion you need to have Moz , Ahrefs, Majestic & Google Webmaster tools. Moz is spectacular and critical to what you're doing. I would make a disavow file from all the tools goi I have had the best luck with removeem.com allows you to combine all of them together and I would recommend checking them out. I hope this helps. Sites still rank who don't seem like they should. Why?
Hi Radi! It looks like you're a Pro member, so one thing I'd suggest is to run a Full SERP Report on the keywords you're concerned with using the Keyword Difficulty tool. It can give you a better sense of what's going on. Cyrus made a great video on the report here. I hope that helps!

Broad stroke drops in Keywords on a good site
SERP position is clearly relative to other sites. If they are generating links of a type and at a rate that Google favours more than your activity you will appear to drop in ranking. Anyone still see the 'Google Dance'?

Across the board drops in DA
Hello, This is most likely not something to be worried about if it corresponded with the latest Mozscape Index. The number of links and depth crawled with each update can vary - the details on this can be found on the Mozscape API Index page (link below). Since the crawl changes in depth/size, the DA, PA, etc. numbers will differ from crawl to crawl even for a "steady-state" site. If all five companies experienced a similar percentage or numerical drop, I am inclined to think that this drop is simply related to the crawl. The current stats for the latest crawl can be found here: http://moz.com/products/api/updates Rand wrote a post that explained the crawl well here. Have a great weekend and good luck!

Why SERP WHY??
I hear your frustration...been there, done that, bought the t-shirt It's important to come to terms with the idea that PA/DA isn't everything when it comes to ranking. I've worked on sites where the design and conversion strategy is terrible and people were not hanging on the site too long. These sites with higher bounce rates won't rank as well. Another factor I've seen is the continuous updating and adding content (such as in a blog) helps push rankings upward. One of my sites consistently ranks higher than our competitors with higher PA/DA and I'm certain it's these factors that's doing it. There's probably a more techy nerdy answer out there, but this is just based on my experience. If sites aren't ranking well for me, I usually suggest a site redesign and redevelopment. Doing an overhaul and clean up can go a long way. Good luck!

Only one internal Equity Passing Link
Hello! We do have another bot for our Mozscape Index (Open Site Explorer) which is dotbot We do find ourselves blocked by a hosting provider at least once a week but mostly as a result of miscommunication between marketers working with clients with multiple web developers. One or two of them may not be aware of a crawler being setup to crawl a site and will see it as malicious behavior, thus causing our bot to be blocked. This is mostly seen from larger companies.

How do you check if press release images are different enough?
ah , my bad. I would think that any attempt of that sort would constitute a copyright /image licensing infringement.

Target: blank. Does it make an SEO difference?
From a UX perspective: This allows the visitor to refer to the linked page/info but be able to continue on with the article/page from your site. From an SEO perspective, IMO This helps your bounce rate from jumping when people engage the links you have on your site. Check out this previous Q&A posted by our buddy Max Minzer! Hope this helps with your question!! http://moz.com/community/q/when-is-it-good-to-use-target-_blank
