Interlinking using Dynamic URLs Versus Static URLs
Hi Erica, Many Thanks for responding. You have suggested to use utm parameters in urls while doing internal linking. however the utm parameters are used to track campaigns like adwords paid program. Can utm parameters be used for tracking internal linking. If yes, what will be the campaign source & campaign medium. Will if affect the rankings if we have only dynamic tracking urls interlinked and the corresponding static urls are not linked from anywhere on the site. Regards

Is it okay to design different mobile site for different browsers
Generally, you want to provide the same experience for all customers. There could be some compatibility issues between browsers, so if you had to do something technical for compatibility that should be ok.

Does interlinking on mobile site helps in seo & improvement in rankings
Yes, the combined quality and quantity of links pointing to a mobile (or desktop) site is a major factor in its ability to rank. See: http://moz.com/search-ranking-factors for more factors.

Is there an issue if we show our old mobile site to Google & new site to users
If you serve a different content to the crawler, that's cloaking and you will face the wrath of google (de-indexing). If you serve different content based on user-agent/screen-width etc... It should not de-index you for cloaking. Google has very precise instructions on what a site owner should do in your case, and serving different html and css based on user-agent is perfectly fine, as long as you follow their instructions on how to supply google crawler additional information through http headers.

Show new mobile site to 60% users & old mobile site to 40% users
Hi Laura, Thanks for your valuable input however our mobile sites(both old & new mobile sites) & desktop site will have same url across devices & browsers. The only difference is of content & design on old & new mobile site. Will this still be considered as black hat. Regards

Is it good to redirect million of pages on a single page?
If they were recently randomly generated by some errand code, you can let them die and 404. The only time you want to redirect a page to another is if that page 1) is getting traffic or 2) has backlinks. Since you're dealing with a code error, those two are very unlikely and you can be confident in just killing the pages.

Is it convinient to use No-Index, Follow to my Paginated Pages?
Thanks Tom, Have checked none of the paginated pages are driving traffic so i think No-index, follow will be the best choice. Regards, Anirban

Paginated URLs are getting Indexed
Hi there If you can add "noindex, follow" to those pages, then yes that would be an ideal solution. I'd double check your pagination code just to make sure it's done properly, but I have seen pages with paginations/different canonicals be indexed before alongside the original in the past (canonical code is a suggestion, not an instruction like a robots command). One thing I'd recommend doing is do a search for your paginated URLs with the "info:" search parameter, eg: info:http://www.abc.com/jobs-in-delhi-1 If the search result is your original, main page, eg: www.abc.com/jobs-in-delhi - then I see that as a good sign that Google is following your pagination code and so while they might be in the index, they're treated as pagination versions of your main page and so you will avoid anything like duplicate content etc. But, to be absolutely sure, I think adding "noindex, follow" is a good idea. Hope this helps.

On hover my links are with additional Parameters while links that are indexed are without additional parameters
Google is pretty good about deciding what URL to index within CMS based sites. If you have already set your canonical pages, the next step would be setting them in Webmaster tools URL parameters, and blocking them from being indexed in your robots file.

On Brand Queries Google does not shows my home page first instead of it shows internal pages.
Google just rolled out a big Panda update and a couple of smaller updates besides, so there's a possibility that this was just a glitch. We generally say that if you see something bizarre happen around big updates, wait it out a few days and see if things go back to normal. If you don't see this happen again, I'd but it down to a fluke...

Fluctuation in Ranking for the keywords
Hi there, For the question of how long rankings will take to come back, unfortunately that's impossible to answer for sure. I had a client once mistakenly point all of their canonical tags at their home page, effectively de-indexing the whole site. The fixed the error within a day, but it took five weeks to get their rankings back. This was a very new website that had very little authority to begin with, but it was still a huge hit to take. If your site is a little older and more established, your recover should be a lot quicker. Unfortunately it's still very hard to put a time frame on this.
