Yes I'm trying to even the anchor text. Too many links with the word Viajes a Grecia, but the thing is that you never know what percentage is correct... it's up to assumptions I guess.

Like already answered above it's quite hard to get to the 100% indexation rate for your webpages. What's your current indexation rate? If it's below 90% you might still have some issues somewhere.

Given the fine responses to the question, both vis a vis SEO and without considering SEO, do limits exist to the length of the H1 tag similar to the Title tag, which many say to should be between the max 65 and 70 characters to display in the SERPS? Finding different ways to describe the same subject in a succinct way can be difficult and time-consuming, so I wonder how much time to spend on different H1 and Title text -- not to mention FB and other metadata for that page. Tangentially, I have noticed that shorter Titles often have the site name appended, and I am not sure that is always a good thing -- especially when words can be duplicated. For example: "Why Live in London" can have the site name "- London Accommodations" auto-appended. Thank you

As the others have already said, it largely depends on the website and how much work you put into it. If you have a good PR team and are able to generate some buzz around the product/service you offer then there is more chance of you gaining a higher PA and DA. Don't get too hung up on PA and DA though, they aren't the be all and end all of the quality of the website. Good luck!

If the Spanish government is smart it will reverse or revise these rules.   If they don't reverse or revise their publishers will be starved of revenue and with that their quality must drop - if they don't go out of business.

HI Grasshoper and other repliers, many thanks for your answers. 1.- The alt attribute: You might be absolutely right, I know the attribute and use it every day in my job but hadn't apply it on General-History. The alt attribute is nothing new, so if I hadn't inserted them on the first place and reached 14.000 visits, how come I now descend to 1.5? Is google penguin so powerful? I did not read any change about the alt attribute when I read about penguin, did you? 2.- The Wordpress Theory: This, I admit has impressed me. I think this might not be the only reason, but it can be a major reason of the decrease as the older posts get far away from the home thus decreasing its importance. I very much liked this answer, thank you. 3.- Competitors. I fullishly dismissed this issue because I did not think that other history sites would invert or do something about their SEO, but I might be wrong. Grasshoper would you like to have access to the associated analytics account to study the case? I have SEO friends who consider this issue as interesting as anything, I mean, have you ever seen a non spammy site decrease it's visits as such? Thanks in advance, and by the way, if it is the ads that appear in the header, I would not mind to take it off as it gives very little money. Thanks a lot to all of you.

A thumbs up for Martin! I'd do what he suggests Christian and get rid of the footer links and replace them with a link from a relevant page, preferably within the body content. There may already be a relevant page on the site that can pass a little authority, but if not follows Martin's advice again and get writing! Enjoy the weekend guys! Lee.
