You would point like this: redirect 301 /AboutUS http://www.NewDomain.com/AboutUs the /AboutUs is the URL you want to 301. The NewDomain is the domain to want to point to.

Hey Thanks a lot, I read the google doc, and as I'm still new to SEO, I thought I'd ask here to make sure... I have another Question... The site was not built by me, and I suppose for SEO purpouses (back in the day) the site is externally linked to it's own content. let me give you an example: On the ABOUT page which is www.migrationlawyerS.co.za (Main Domain with letter S) This page links to www.migrationlawyer.co.za/link (addon domain without an S) If I 301 redirect www.migrationlawyer.co.za to www.migrationlawyerS.co.za  will I have to restructure the whole linking system on my website (as I understand a 301 will redirect to the root domain only), or is there a way around that? Hi Nikita, The danger is real enough, you will find many references to penalties and dropped rankings in this forum! As for limited budget but lots of time, there are a lot of creative things you can do with that combination. It is always good to go through the basics and then dig into the ideas on the seomoz blogs and forums (like here for example). You will find many ways to apply what you read and learn to your own specific site/niches and start moving up the serps!

I've checked out the link, and it seems like a good resource, but form 2010. Things changed since then. From the Comments I read, I found this interesting: "I prefer to combine do and no follow links... it looks natural for google, and a link pointing to my site is never worthless."

When your ranking 1, 2 or 3 for your main keywords, depending on how competitive your keywords are. when you don't think your efforts will get you much further. Example don't waste your time trying to beat wikipedia
