Hey there!
Tawny from Moz's Help Team here.
Our API doesn't contain all those metrics — what we're able to pull in through the Mozscape API is the same kind of data you'd be able to get through Open Site Explorer, but in bulk. You can read about all the different kinds of data you can collect with the API over here, in our Help Hub pages: https://moz.com/help/guides/moz-api/mozscape/api-reference
You can read more about how to use it and get started from this page: https://moz.com/help/guides/moz-api/mozscape/getting-started-with-mozscape/create-and-manage-your-account
The API is a pretty technical tool, so you may need a web developer's help to interpret the responses you get. If you have any more questions, feel free to reach out to us at help@moz.com and we'll do our best to answer any questions you might have.
Cheers!

RE: Inbound links for https://www.example.com versus just example.com
Hey there! Tawny from Moz's Help Team here.
Because of the way we index the web, we might be seeing more or fewer links going to the www version of the site you're checking than we're seeing going to the root domain. The two versions of the page can definitely have different Page Authority, and different Spam Scores.
We'd recommend taking a look at both versions of the URL to see which has more spam signals headed toward it.
I hope that helps! If you've still got questions, feel free to give us a shout over at help@moz.com.

RE: Question about related topics
Hey there! Tawny from Moz's Help team here.
Related topics in Page Optimization are collected by an algorithm that's really similar to how we scan and look for closely related topics in Keyword Explorer. The primary difference is that Content Suggestions in Page Optimization are based on topics that the top ranking pages are also discussing, while the Keyword Suggestions in Keyword Explorer are simply there to give you some ideas for further keyword research and optimization, so the data is packaged differently.
I hope that helps explain somewhat! If you've still got questions, feel free to reach out to us at help@moz.com and we'll do our best to answer all your questions.

RE: My site links to my clients not showing in Moz
Hi there! Tawny from Moz's Help Team here. Thanks for writing in and sorry about the trouble.
This is definitely due to the way we collect this information for our link index and it is actually expected that we won’t find every page and link because we aren’t looking for them all! When we collect this data, we’re looking specifically for the most valuable links and, rather than crawling your entire site or every site, we collect this by starting our crawler on a few highest ranking sites and letting it perform a breadth first search to see what it finds.
For each page that we crawl, we first collect each of it’s links before following these and collecting the details of each page that these link to and so on. There’s a set limit of links that we’ll crawl per page and pages that we’ll crawl per site so it’s expected that we may not follow every link on your site this way.
Generally, we recommend using a wide variety of backlink tools to get the most illustrative picture of how your site's backlink profile looks. OSE and Ahrefs index differently and have different purposes. Ahrefs is good for quantity while OSE is great for finding higher quality links. Domain Authority is our own proprietary metric that is closely correlated to Google rankings, so our customers often use OSE to research influential sites to build links.

I hope this helps - let me know if you have any further questions!

RE: What do you do when there is significant movement when checking a Ranking & Algorithm tracking tool?
Hey there! Tawny from Moz's Help team here.
It looks like our community members have already offered some helpful advice here. I just wanted to add that we have the Mozscast (http://mozcast.com/), which is a measure of how turbulent things are in the SERPs. Looks like the "weather" lately has been pretty stormy, so lots of changes are taking place.
As others have already pointed out, it's hard to pinpoint WHY the rankings are changing, but there are a few things to keep in mind as you go along.
There are a ton of factors that go into ranking well, so your best bet is to be very diligent and attentive to the issues affecting your SEO. There are a few things to keep in mind as you go along:
- Competitive research is important, because it's usually your competitors that you're fighting for rankings. There is a really good post about it here. I would also suggest looking at this blog postabout which tools can help you defeat your competitors!
- Keyword research and keyword strategy are also very important. We've got some helpful Moz Academy videos on both of these hereand here!
- Your link metrics also have a lot of sway when it comes to ranking. There are some really good Moz Academy videos on this, but I like this one about how search engines value links to start!
I hope that helps you out a bit! If you've still got questions, feel free to reach out to us at help@moz.com.

RE: What does "false" in the Mobile Friendly Column of the Ranking by Engine downloaded spreadsheet mean?
Name Twins!
We're just checking for the word "mobile" in the code on your site in a couple of different languages. You can definitely still rank well in mobile search engines while that column says "False."
Sorry for any confusion! If you've still got questions, feel free to give us a shout at help@moz.com and we'll see what we can do to sort things out with you.

RE: Cancel for my trial account
Hey there! Tawny from Moz's Help Team here.
Yep — looks like you've canceled your free trial, so you're all set. You'll still have access to the tools and all your data for the full 30-day trial period, but after that your access will end and your card will not be charged.
Hope that helps! If you have any more questions, feel free to give us a shout at help@moz.com.

RE: Re-connect Goggle Analytics to Moz
Success! So glad you were able to get that hooked up. Have a great rest of your day!

RE: Re-connect Goggle Analytics to Moz
If the reauthorization worked, you should see a success banner. You may need to refresh a couple of times in order to see the correct profiles and successfully reconnect.

RE: Re-connect Goggle Analytics to Moz
That's one of the most common reasons for losing connection to a GA profile, yes. Those tokens expire or are revoked, and as a result we lose access.

Give me a shout if there's anything else I can help with!

RE: Re-connect Goggle Analytics to Moz
Hello there! Tawny from Moz's Help Team here.
So, when a Moz Pro Campaign is connected to Google Analytics during creation, Google allows us to backfill data for 12 data cycles (i.e. 12 days, 12 weeks, and 12 months.) However, if GA is connected after the Campaign is already running, they will only allow us to collect data going forward from the date of the connection.
I'm afraid the only way to see the historical traffic data in a Campaign for this site would be to create a new Campaign and to connect to your GA profile during the set-up process. Unfortunately, we aren't able to transfer data for the other Campaign sections from the Campaign that you currently have running for the site, so the new Campaign would not include the data you have already been tracking historically for the rest of the Campaign.
Feel free to reach out to help@moz.com if there's anything else we can help with!

No problem at all! Happy to help!

RE: What does "false" in the Mobile Friendly Column of the Ranking by Engine downloaded spreadsheet mean?
Hey there! Tawny from Moz's Help Team here.
We're looking for the word "mobile" in the code in a number of languages to help determine whether a page is mobile-friendly or not.
If we don't find that word, then that column gets marked "false."
I hope that helps! If you still have questions for us, feel free to write in to us at help@moz.com.

RE: Moz on-page grader can't see keyword in H1
Hey Andrei! Tawny from Moz's Help Team here.
I took a look at that site, and I don't actually see any H1 tags in the source code for that page: https://www.screencast.com/t/DJEjjTWprW6
I think that's why our tool isn't finding the keyword there — it looks like that tag doesn't exist!
I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions or if there's anything that needs clarifying! You can always feel free to drop us a line at help@moz.com.

RE: GWT and internal link emulation
Hey there! Tawny from Moz's Help Team here.
Unfortunately, this falls outside the scope of the product support we can provide, and more into the realm of SEO consulting. I'm definitely not an SEO expert, so I don't know the best way to go about setting up your site. Hopefully one of our lovely community members will have some thoughts that can help you out!
Sorry I can't be more help here — if you have any Moz tool-related questions, just give us a shout at help@moz.com and we'll do our very best to answer them all.

RE: Is is possible to revert reporting to a past crawl date?
Hey there! Tawny from Moz's Help Team here!
Unfortunately, there's no way to go back and view the previous week's Site Crawl data. If you need to see each week's data after the fact, it would be a good idea to set up a Custom Report with Site Crawl modules and set it up to run weekly. That way you'll get a report each week sent to you that includes your Site Crawl data, and you'll be able to keep those reports as a historical record of previous week's data.

I hope that helps! If you've still got any questions, feel free to shoot us a note at help@moz.com and we'll do our best to help you out.

RE: Page Title showing Twice when I check it through Moz Bar
Hey there! Tawny from Moz's Help Team here. I think I can help explain what you're seeing in the MozBar.
I took a look at that page, and it looks like there's more than one title tag in the source code: https://www.screencast.com/t/exH7aqRt0
Best practice would be to have just one title tag in place for each page.
As for that Alt Text, I found that in the source code as well: https://www.screencast.com/t/OruvfWwtqJ
It might be worth sitting down with your web developer and making sure that just the text you want to appear as Alt Text is in those alt tags in the code.
I hope this helps! If you've still got questions about the tools we can help with, feel free to give us a shout over at help@moz.com and we'll do our best to sort everything out with you.

RE: Moz Not Crawling Angular SPA
Hi there! Tawny from Moz's Help Team here.
Thanks for writing in and sorry about the trouble!
I took a look at your Site Crawl results and your site, and I believe this is a result of our crawler's inability to work with Javascript. If your site is primarily Javascript, then the data you get back with regards to the crawl report won't be completely accurate because of this. It looks like, due to the Javascript on the page, we weren't able to find any links to keep crawling: https://www.screencast.com/t/mqy7SUb9f
There's no real workaround that I can recommend for this one, since it is a technical limitation of our tools, but I did find some good blog posts and discussions in the Q&A about this when I searched our Help Hub.
While the tools and data that rely on our crawl of your site may not return the best results because of that Javascript, your keyword rankings and link profile should work just fine.
You might also want to check out a few tools that are compatible with Javascript, like Botify or Screaming Frog.
I'm really sorry I can't be of more help here; I'll definitely be sure to pass this along to our Product team as feedback on your behalf. If you have any follow-up questions or if there's anything else you need help with, please write in to help@moz.com and we'll do our best to sort everything out.

RE: Number of Pages Crawled dropped significantly
Hey there! Tawny from Moz's Help Team here.
I took a look at your Campaign, and I think the reason we found fewer pages for your most recent crawl was that we got caught up in pages we'd already seeing as a result of redirect issues. I would recommend taking a close look at your redirect issues and see if you can resolve those — after that we should be able to crawl more pages again.

I hope this helps! If you still have questions, please write in to us at help@moz.com and we'll do our best to answer them all.
