Hi guys thank you for your messages.
The migration has been done, the 301 redirects has been done (because half of the site was built in Django, so we had to manually move the content to wordpress.
So the site is running lovely but on the temp domain.
I hope there is a method where we can change the url to the new domain or am i just been silly?
T
Hi i wonder if anyone can help.
I have migrated my site to a new host, with a temp domain name i.e., http://www.test1.com
The current site is still live on another host with the domain name http://www.perfecttest.com
The temp site is now ready to do live. but we want to use the domain perfecttest.com
a. What is the process to move the domain to the new host and to change the test1.com to be perfecttest.com.
I kneo that we need to change the domain perfecttest.com nameserver to point to the new host but i am sure there must be more that need to be done inorder to not have issues.
Your help will be grateful

Wow, thanks a lot Tom, I will check them out.
We are moving to Wordpress, and after will have a replica site, for security and testing.
My CRM system is based on Django running on Python.
We have a lot of content and videos images to move over.
just found these guys.. what do you think http://profprojects.com/migrate-django-cms-to-wordpress/
Thanks again
Thomas, thank you so much for your answer. I have taken a look at CMS 2 CMS and it may just work, although my current cms is not supported.. i am testing it out right now.
With the S frog, will i be able to clean up the file before submiting it to wordpress
Hi all, does anyone know the best way to move an old CMS with a lot of content over to wordpress.
The old CMS does not have the ability to create a csv file. Are there tools that one can use to pull the html pages in to wordpress. There is a wordpress html input plugin that i have testes and seams to work...but it is still a long process.
Thanks Tai
Sorry for the delay. And thank you for your help.
My site has been cloned by this f........ http://designer.aimeeprom.com/
original site http://www.5starweddingdirectory.com
Still has our logo etc...
How can we prevent this from happening, What should I do next. I have pinged them via the interactive chat but they do not reply..
Hi. So do mean that my site is coming up in Google.ca as a link farm.. what does this mean.. Please can you provide more info.
we are based in the UK.
Hi guys, sorry confused, what is g.ca
(Just curious how you think Pigeon affected a wedding directory site?) not sure what you mean here.
Thanks BCutrer,
The disavow was done last year, and is updated. We did not see much upturn with the latest updates.
We have not done any link building for years (may be this can be a problem)
The above link was done over two years ago by bad seo company, this is why we are looking for some help
Hi BCutrer, Thanks for your question, well is has been a long ongoing problem with the site, drop in traffic, then an upturn and recently another drop. So not sure if it is a technical issues or a penalty. We have not receive a manual webspam, but was told to disavow bad links which we did, but still no upturn in traffic from Google, bing or yahoo.
So looking to see if anyone has used a firm that can analyse issues to see exactly why the sites performance has dropped.. A clear understanding of why sites performance drops and not guess work.
Thanks Pixelbypixel. I was wondering if anyone has had website/seo issues and could recommend a company that really help them.
Tai
Hi does any one know of a good seo company that will get results, i.e., fix site issues and get the site improving in the serps.
Hi Denverish, thanks for your reply, been months since i looked at this problem. It has returned so trying to sort it out. the redirects mentioned did not work. so any suggestions.
The CMS allows for 301 redirects via a form; place old url at the top of the form and the new url at the bottom and save,
But as I am trying to create a wildcard 301 redirect, i am not sure what code to place in these fields..see pic

Thanks for your reply Chris661 and DennisSeymour. Where to turn that is the question. Its all rather confusing.
in webmaster, my impressions went up considerably, then it went down .see pic http://i.imgur.com/NZnK7Vt.png
We did not move to https.
We did not do anything apart from removing some more links
(Maybe check your htaccess/robots/were you hacked? Injected by an invisible code? Check Google cache) What should I look for for a hacked or injected code?
Yes we are using the universal code.
Thanks for your suggestions..

Hi my site was doing ok, last week, humming along and increase in traffic. We felt that all the work removing bad links had worked. then all of a sudden, bang traffic dropped and is still dropping day by day.
The strange thing as well is all the social media, bing and yahoo traffic has also dried up!
Has anyone else had something smiler?
Thanks again Chris, I will take on board your advice and go through the disavow file.
Hi Chris,
Thanks for your response. the question has been bothering me for a while and I wonder if there is anyone else who was advised to remove bad links even if one has not had a manual penalty, but may have seen a decline in traffic.
We saw a drop in traffic, but last week we removed all Google tracking analysis and reinstalled it, and bam the traffic that we thought we had lost was not so bad after all. (we are still monitoring this) Hence why I was wondering if we were to remove the disavow fill will Google see this a a negative.
