i don't know, i seem to think more then one image is too much in one go. An image catches the eye, but a gallary bores them, one image and some easy to read suporting text getting your basic message accross. Only when they are interested will more content be of use. Thats my opinion

Well it wouldn't effect smartphones since they get the same results. Not sure how it effects mobile search still relevant to old style cell phones.

I don't know on exact ratios, but I think it is effective to vary your anchor text. I believe that search engines expect handwritten content to have variation.
