Email Campaign Tracking within Domain & Subdomains
Hi, It seems to me like you need cross-domain tracking. In the sequence you describe, when someone hits the subdomain first before clicking to the main site, it's coming through as referral traffic - at which point you're losing the connection (you can still get this data, but in a much more convoluted way). You should also be able to tag multiple domains with your email tool, so either (sub)domain you link to would have the same parameters, and with cross-domain tracking enabled, you'll have session unification between the 2 domains.

Recommendations on the URL Structure When Posting Blogs
The solution is simple. Remember usability is key to the user experience. If you have a blog then place the blog/ in the URL. Think of an e-commerce website. You want to categorize items correctly. You don't want customers finding fridges in the microwaves category

Welcome Page - Forbes.com
Don't think they have any SEO issues though of this as still all links will point at the right URL from both social as the rest of the web. They seem to do a weird redirect back to the interstitial page and as they still seem to rank pretty well I doubt they see SEO issues on their side.

Tool Recommendations for Traffic Estimations
Hi there, I would suggest you specifically look at competitive intelligence tools like compete.com or semrush as they can provide somewhat accurate estimates. But there are a lot of online tools and services that provide traffic volume estimations for keywords. They differ in many aspects – different solutions have different interfaces with different additional options available. They also use different data sources. Therefore, the best option would be to check your keywords with several solutions and compare the results. If you have no time for that – you should select the most reliable source for your estimates and stick to it. First of all, these estimates do not take into account click distribution between different TOP positions. Even if you are ranked TOP 1 for some particular keywords, you won’t gather 100% of the traffic. Some part of the traffic will go to Google Local Business. And one more thing that cannot be predicted in advance: any keyword traffic estimator gives data about how much time a particular keyword was entered into the search field, but it cannot tell between real users and automated seo tools that check positions of a particular website for a particular keyword. Hope it helps!

Title Tag Best Practices
Just to add what some other folks have said here, I think that the look and length of the title tag may have a CTR effect in search result listings. Because the vast majority of people tend to overstuff and over-elongate their title tag, I think that a pithy one stands out on the page -- particularly if it is optimized for the exact keyword phrase that the searcher entered into the search engine. Just as the Google author tag adds in CTR value to the listing vis a vis author photo, name, etc., so too might the concise, short title tag pop a bit more. (I have no data to back this up, mind you. Totally just a theory.)

Related Charity Directories
I would recommend getting the charity supporters to create content, sharing there thoughts about how they feel the charity is helping the community, etc. This content could be posted on their own blogs or social media profiles or placed on the charity's own website. Either way, they can encourage links back to their site that way and actually deserve the backlinks that way. Just my thoughts. Scott
