Like Drones already mentioned, I would try to figure out what search engines could potentially still know about the history of your site. So make sure to check through all the available tools: Google Search Console (if you already own the domain), Majestic SEO, Open Site Explorer and Ahrefs what kind of domains are linking to your site and what type of links they are. Relevant or non relevant. If the majority of them is it probably will harm you in this case as you have too many non relevant links pointing to your site. If you barely can't find anything about it, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Go to an attorney who practices intellectual property law.  You need to play your cards properly in these types of situations.  What you learn from this situation can be helpful for future situations and what you establish with your attorney will streamline actions in future situations. Discuss the following and other topics with the attorney:  adequate terms of use for the website, warnings on your website for potential infringers, how others might be able to use your property under fair use, proper copyright registration, informal notices of infringement, formal notices of infringement, DMCA complaints, potential liability and costs that can be incurred if you step into this, other topics that apply to your specific situation.. An informal notice often stops infringement, a formal notice often works when informal notice does not, a DMCA can get their copy of your content out of search or off of a server.  DMCA can also get you in trouble. Legal advice in these situations often costs less than most people fear. Not taking action or taking the wrong action often costs more than most people realize. Sometimes you can learn a lot from a preliminary discussion with an attorney by phone without incurring any costs.  Depending upon your situation and who you consult, you might spend $X000 and come away with knowledge and resources that will significantly reduce your infringement problem.   I've done it with more than one attorney just to get diverse perspective and an education.   I've gotten my money's worth and my wallet ain't smokin'. That's about what I can say about this.  I am not qualified to give legal advice.

Hi, How significant did the ranking increase? Would you be able to go into more detail on how you approached the websites. Since each one would be in different location. Would you take a different approach from a destination location then a high traffic area location. Thank You! Scott

It's important to remember that the on-page grader only looks at how well optimized your page is for that keyword, which is just one factor out of many different things Google looks at to rank your site. Fixing technical problems and building additional links to your page and site will be very important to your ranking well. Good luck!

Hi Zoe, thanks a lot for your reply. I checked the ranking position through pws=0 and also by Moz's Ranktracker. In Moz it showed up ok but with &pws=0 it seemed to have dropped over several positions. Please see my response to Cyrus if you're interested in what might have caused the drop. If a site has high DA or PA then you, it doesn't mean it's a high authority site. Search sites that matters to you and invest your money and time there. In the end, you will be on upper edge. Hope this helps! Umar

Hello, my friend. "Password"? I assume you mean keyphrase/keyword. Well, first of all, the keywords you're talking about are not difficult And yes, if you use "in" it won't matter. In fact, go for natural word flow, since it's better for UX, and that's what google likes. Additionally, you don't have to use the whole keyphrase in H-tags. If possible - sure, if not - just do it in content naturally. Google has very-very sophisticated AI, so no worries, they will understand what page is about. Just don't go overboard with keyword stuffing.

Ok - I was courageous and undid the changes from the last two days to a version where the ranking was pretty good.Within 1,5 hours the site ranked as good as before Thanks for your help guys. Cannot say exactly what it was. Sandbox-effect? Cheers Marc
