Google indexes both timelink.com and www.timelink.com if there is no redirect to one of them, so no it's a good thing that you http://timelink.com gets redirected to http://www.timelink.com because it would be seen as duplicated content if both links would be indexed.

Did you get that notice in webmaster tools?

If I add a lot a product/articles I just do a sitemap re-submit but if I only add one product or article I just wait till the bots crawl to that links. It usually takes a couple of day before it gets indexed. I never really used the fetch as google unless I made changes to the structure of the website.
