RE: With 301 Redirects Does Changing URLs Matter?
As long as you create a 301 redirect which works correctly, and it still links to related content which is similar to before, it shouldn't be an issue in the long run.
However, you may notice a slight dip when you first make the changes, whilst the search engines adjust and re-add your new, correct URLs.
As long as you can avoid 404 errors (page not found) from happening at any time, that should reduce the risk massively. It's when a page changes and a good link goes to a 404 that you will run into ranking issues.
The same rule applies with the images. If someone clicks an image on Google images, and it goes to the wrong URL and lands on a 404 page, it could lose it's ranking. I can see the new platform uses Wordpress going by the wp-uploads/ path, so you might be able to rely on a plugin to ensure this doesn't happen, such as a redirection plugin.

RE: Low Domain Authority & Ranking
I had a similar issue with a Freelancer who basically took 9 months to design our website, and it lacked the functionality I was after, yet because of how Freelancer.com milestones work, I could not redeem the money back.
It's good to put it behind you and learn from that mistake and realize you can do some stuff on your own once you learn how to, spending minimal amounts on what is important, ie a Moz Subscription.
I would get on to some reputable link building guides. Moz has one posted a couple weeks ago:
http://moz.com/blog/beginners-guide-to-link-building
Point Blank SEO has a good one:
http://pointblankseo.com/link-building-strategies
And there is another good one on Money Making Ninja:
http://www.makemoneyninja.com/the-ultimate-guide-to-link-building/
Be creative, learn how to get authority links relevant to your industry. Article based mentions will most likely be dofollow, forget about bounce rate, I ranked a 95% bounce rate aggregator and got 1 million visits a month with just 40 Domain Authority, it can be done with the right links and right content.

RE: Low Domain Authority & Ranking
That is a lot of money on SEO.

RE: Site migration - 301 or 404 for pages no longer needed?
If the old domain had relevant content, domain etc, then I would usually 301 redirect. It helps to redirect it to a relevant page on your new site as opposed to just the homepage, such as a similar category, about page > about page etc. Match as much as you can, and the rest leave for the homepage simply for potential traffic when a user clicks a search result for someone appearing on your old domain, or a referring link etc.

RE: How to locate page with the duplicate title? (Crawl Diagnostics - Duplicate Titles Warning)
Hi, when you click on the error, it should list the URL of the page which has one title, and then underneath that, the other page(s) that have the same title.

RE: Meta Refresh
Hi, this means you have redirects set up which are not particularly SEO friendly. Moz has the following description of Meta Refreshes.
Meta Refresh
"Meta refreshes are a type of redirect executed on the page level rather than the server level. They are usually slower, and not a recommended SEO technique. They are most commonly associated with a five-second countdown with the text "If you are not redirected in five seconds, click here." Meta refreshes do pass some link juice, but are not recommended as an SEO tactic due to poor usability and the loss of link juice passed."
So, if you have something on your site saying something like "you are about to be redirected", it is basically saying you should not have this, and instead use a direct redirect which passes link juice more.

RE: Backlink level of domain authority
Wouldn't less links mean less saturation?

RE: Backlink level of domain authority
No link checker will pick up everything. Life would be much easier if that was the case.

RE: How much time will it take to reach the first page of Google?
That's not entirely true and not future proof either.

RE: Long Meta Titles on Dynamic Pages
It would be ideal to have the first paragraph of the press release as the meta description, as this is usually a summary or outline of the news being announced.
You'd then have to truncate that to approx 140 characters to fit inside a Google result.
How that is implemented depends on the type of site you have, what you are running on etc.

RE: Moz Crawler URL paramaters & duplicate content
It sounds like your site is somehow generating multiple URLs for the same type of content, and dynamic URLs could cause an issue with the crawl.
The report should be able to outline which pages need the code change to stop the crawler thinking there is more than 1 page for each query. I can understand that if each filter was selected for each city this is creating combinations of searches that could take place and pages that could be generated.
Only thing I can think of is to stop the crawling of that filtering so that the pages aren't created, but Im not sure how feasible or possible that would be.
A Moz staff member would be able to access your report and see which pages are affected and suggest a potential change.

RE: Https slower site Versus Non https faster site??
A few milliseconds for a secure browsing experience on a ecommerce site. If you think your site needs it, and deals with personal information, you should definitely add it in my opinion, but it depends on the type of website that you currently operate.

RE: Nofollow affiliate links
Well, I believe you could also simply change the URL structure, so it would be something like:
I believe this is known as cloaking, and Yoast mentioned a bit about it:
https://yoast.com/cloak-affiliate-links/
You could potentially remove ugly affiliate links as well as solve the no-follow issue as it wouldn't be a direct link to Amazon.
-
RE: Nofollow affiliate links
It shouldn't be too hard to add the extra element to the URL that is generated for each affiliate program that you use.
Are you bringing in that figure from just affiliate sales? If so, well done, its a very admirable amount.

RE: Moz Crawler URL paramaters & duplicate content
I don't know the entire answer, but for this part:
"I'm asking because the crawler is reporting 50k+ pages crawled, when in reality, this number should be closer to 1000. "
I had the same issue, and it's quite deceiving. Basically it means that your limit on that campaign has been set to 50,000 pages of a possible 50,000 pages, and that's not the number of pages that have actually been crawled. It will likely be closer to 1,000 and that should be reflected in your issues, ie around 1,500 issues taking into account multiple issues per page, and nowhere near 50,000 issues.
Here is the answer I got when I asked the same question last year:

RE: Nofollow affiliate links
Amazon is a reputable site and has a ridiculous amount of links pointing at it, so I don't see why they'd have to be no-follow.
I'm not sure how advertising an Amazon product and linking to their product page is manipulating.

RE: Backlink level of domain authority
Good Quality links would be domains with a Moz Authority of 30+ (obviously higher is more beneficial), and those sites that are linked in some way to your domain or company are even more beneficial in providing related link juice.
A testimonial is always great, regardless of domain authority - not just because of its link juice, but possible referals and increased user experience. So I would suggest aiming for that, and try and land a big client with a nice juicy website!
It's all about having a varied link profile. Some low, some medium and some high. It's a healthy diet.

RE: Backlink level of domain authority
Hi, sorry but Google have not updated PageRank for quite some time, and it is widely believed they no longer pay attention to it and it will likely be removed soon.
