Unfortunately, as far as I'm aware - there is no way to fix this. Google have started to move YouTube towards having a Google+ integration and this really hasn't been kept simple for those with a "corporate account" who don't want to tie the channel to a specific email or person. one assumes they will eventually provide a way for you to fix this, but it may involve changing to a paid YouTube account of some sorts better aligned with a business than an individual. So, sorry, no I don't think you can fix it - but I feel your pain!

Just know that you'll need to have a personal profile and a page profile to accomplish this. Michelle Ross over at Search Engine Journal did a great post a few months ago on how to get started on Google+ That is a great start there but I think the best one I've seen for Businesses is by Marvin Shervington (marvinshervington.com) and he created a complete guide for Google+ for brands You're question is kind of like asking "how do I get started in SEO"  It's really hard to answer without giving you some sources first and when you have specifics then you can come back and ask those question and get better discussion. In my opinion Google+ is Twitter, Facebook and Google combined.  There are a lot of nuances with it and giving you one big overview is pretty tough.  Read up on the resources I've provided, and others that you can search for and feel free to ask any specifics you have.

Hi Thanks for your reply - it was excactly what i was looking for :-). This is not only a SEO-excersice, its also an excersice in giving people relevant information about our company - and using the right channels to do that - and as far as im concerned the two things are close related, and will be furthermore in the future. Twitter and Facebook are a given for our company, we need to be on those social media, and i don't know if there is anything we can do in order to optimize those for SEO-purposes? And then i will start creating a Google plus profile, and trying to integrate Google +1 oppertunities on our site. Your thoughts about Tumblr and Pinterest are very interesting, but it seems that where we are located (Denmark), it will be Instagram that will be the 3rd biggest social network, behind Facebook and Twitter, so if we add ressources into a fourth social network (besides Facebook, Twitter and Google+) it will probably be Instagram.

Hi, Thanks for reply - yes, we have the 301 redirects in order. We are quite a big company, and high profiled, so we have to be aware of competitors or other people who wants to damage our brand, but then again, we also need to cut our costs :-). So the way i will proceed with this is: 1. Make sure we have the most important branded URLs, or actually all of them, so all ourdomain.everything, so that we also have www.ourdomain.xxx. 2. Go through the URLs we have, and keep the ones that give us link equity - i will test this via Site Explorer, and get rid of the ones that does not have any link equity.

Yes, to set up rel-canonical properly, every page that could conceivably be tagged with a csref= parameter should have a self-referencing canonical. The tags are easy to set up, in theory, but once you get into a large site and/or CMS, setting them up on dozens or hundreds of pages can be tricky. Ultimately, it's a more effective approach that has some other benefits (like scooping up stray duplicates that may have been created by other URL parameters), but it really depends on your development resources and how complex your site is.

Hi Kate, Thanks for your reply, im glad for yours and all others contribution, it really make me reflect on which direction i should choose. The whole page is an insurance page, but there is many different things you can do, you can buy insurance, calculate prize, make a claim and so on, so the frontpage has many purposes. The reason why i want to be ranked on the frontpage, is because it converts better, and im sure i can get it ranked higher, in the long run, because of the link building oppertunities i have on that page. So right now, it maybe would preferrebly to focus on /insurance, but in the long run i think the frontpage will be stronger. It's also important for me to underline, that im a part of a big company, and its not entirely up to me to decide changes and etc. on the homepage.
