Rel=Canonical Header Location
Hi Mike, That's really helpful. Right now we are using "Metatags" so I'll see if we can import that module. I'll have to see if they conflict or not, but you might have solved the problem. Your suggestion is really appreciated - thanks!

Rel = Canonical in Blog Posting
Hi Ayaz, Wow, thanks for the heads up. I've been trying to put the rel=canonical code into the wysisyg editor this whole time. So where should the code be placed? It's drupal, so should I make a block on the page where the rel=canonical text is supposed to be placed? what's the best way to put the code into the head of the source code? Thanks?

Disappearing Rel=Canonical Code
Hi Keri, Thanks for the message! We are getting double content warnings so I thought that the absence of a rel=canonical script was causing the double content warning. Appreciate the confirmation - that saved a TON of time. Cheers!

404 Error
Hi Moosa, Wow - that is a super helpful answer. I don't know how to install a Drupal modul, but it's great to see there is an easy way to do this. Much appreciated! I'll try and figure out how to install that patch and go from there. Cheers!

Blog RSS behind https
Well, in theory it's easier to create a http page then it is to create a https page (because of all of the added encryption when sending data via SSL). I would suggest that you discuss this with your designer. If you can get away with non-secure pages, especially if you've got RSS content you're looking to push out, then definitely do. Best of luck, Matt

302 to 301
Coming in late on this thread. There's actually muliple ways to redirect from http to https, depending on your server configuration and so on. It's very possible your developer did set this up in the .htaccess file. If a 301 isn't defined (or none is defined) I believe it can default to a 302. I see Sanket has volunteered his help. Yay! Let us know what you find or if you need any help.

Rel = Canonical in Blog Posting
Hey OT, the canonical notice will show up as soon as you have a canonical on the page. SEO Tools cannot analyze if the canonicals are set up correctly or not, they can just warn you if a canonical is there or not. The example link you provided is ok. Gr., Istvan

RSS Feed Scrapping
To make use of people who "borrow" your content, add a link back to your site inside of the content. When they publish the content on their site, you got yourself a backlink. If you use Wordpress, Yoast SEO-plugin has a feature for this, very easy to use. Good luck!

Outsourced Link Building
I agree, some clarity on what you mean by "outsourced link building" would be a good idea because if you mean hiring the cheapest labour you can find and giving them the remit to build links for you then yes you are likely to get burned. In my opinion 'outsourcing' has negative connotations and working with an experienced external link acquisition company isn't necessarily a bad idea. Working with an expert whether that be an agency or a freelancer can offer incredible benefits provided you are involved at the strategy and quality control level. 2nd or 3rd opinions on strategies and output are often worthwhile seeking if you are unsure of the 'right' direction.

Will SEO Moz index our keywords if the site is ALL https?
Is this site live yet? Can SEOMoz access it? That might be a problem. Also, if you want to see the top results for the keyword and the competitive nature of the SERP, I highly recommend the keyword difficulty tool - it rocks! http://pro.seomoz.org/tools/keyword-difficulty

Image ALT Attribute
Hi Heather, Thanks for the reply. The site uses FCK Editor + Smarty + PHP. It's super easy to use when you are uploading content, but I think it might be very poorly set up for SEO. On the FCK Editor there is a SOURCE button that shows the HTML. I'm not sure, but that MAY be the only place to put in the meta descriptions and ALT Attributes. It's unfortunately very confusing!
