Hi,
Aren't you just allowing Googlebot to scan /images folder?
Hi,
Exact keyword match in case of domain is always a good thing, however I wouldn't personally be able to predict if steps mentioned by you will help you rank for this KW for one particular reason. The reason is links - their quality and numbers. Also, what's the domain age? Did you check "Wayback machine"? If you didn't then have a look what was domain previously used for. Exact match is not everything now with more and more experts stating that you have to have good mixture of exact keyword match and url's. Hope that helps.
It all depends on circumstances but in most cases most experts advice leave brand name on main page, contact, about us etc. but not on posts.
From what I know, most platforms have trailing removing plugin or module, so it's worth trying this first. If you won't manage to do that way, do 301 redirects but this might cause issue if "/" url's will still be created. Hope that helps.
Hi,
As previously stated by seotoolshelp5 with addition of
1. Check for any issues with dead links leading to this websites
2. Check crawling errors
3. check website speed and improve it if necessary
4. Prioritize mobile version (if you don't have one, create it)
That's all for now what I can think of.
Hi all,
There is something difficult to trace that is causing duplicate content that is related to categories and tags i.e.
Associated Pages
https://example.com/tags/business
https://example.com/taxonomy/term/41
example 2
https://example.com/category/example-category-1
Associated Pages
https://example.com/category/occupiers-liability
example 3
https://example.com/tags/test-2
Above two pages display same content (maybe due to similar posts feature)
My question here is: Is this caused by Drupal website misconfiguration (or one of its modules) since website uses similar posts feature or it's something else.
Duplicate content for example.com/index.php issue has been solved by redirects. Should something similar be done in case of tags / categories?
Any discussion / suggestions on that matter are greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Hi All,
I've got interesting question for Moz community today. Has redirect chain got any impact on rankings or not?
Thank you in advance.
Yep, some similar to previous answer advice:
lost opportunity for keywords internal linking
not the best link profile. At a very basic you could look for good quality web directories and also try to check practices of your competitors (have you gather information who your competitors are?). Maybe there is an opportunity to get link from sites that links to your competitors.
try to create good quality content with statistics and references to external, relevant websites (we would advice setting that as nofollow)
what's your website mobile friendliness and speed - these two can significantly harm your website
Hi all,
Recently came across some authority blog (quicksprout to be precise) which stated that apart from main page, contact page, about us and some other generic pages, site name should be removed as it might produce duplicate content.
example "How to blog | Example Site name"
This mostly is the issue with tags and categories pages as it shows on Moz issues. Is that really a problem and site name should be taken off them?
Thank you.
Hi,
I originally asked about pros (or lack of them) when it comes to using meta keywords tags here https://moz.com/community/q/importance-or-lack-of-meta-keywords-tags-and-tags-in-drupal. It was most likely related to Google, I guess. Is that the same if it comes to Bing as few sources are not sure how this SERP consider using meta keywords tags and people only speculating.
Anyone has any kind of "confirmed" responses or experience?
Thank you in advance.
Thank you for rapid and concise response. Relying what you provided here, I don't think that I have to replace url's at all. That saves a bit of work and since Google is fine with that, I'm fine too.
As there wasn't that many url's with polish characters, at least I have a choice to use them (or not) in future.
Again, thanks for great response.
Just wondered if anyone knows how to be included in SERP if it comes to related questions (People also ask). Do you have to fill some requirements or is it featured snippets kind of thing.
Following Google Core update in June, I noticed that some websites has seen small improvements or stayed on same positions in SERPs, but our website received nearly 60% visibility drop.
Now, after two weeks, some keywords shows "slight" improvement, while majority of keywords still sits on quite low places in searches. Even others big brands got hit after update, but some competitors didn't and overtook our positions. Anyone else noticed any patterns after update and can share some thoughts?
Thank you.

I'm wondering should I put any effort in making Meta Keywords tags for my pages or normal Tags (they're separate in Drupal), since apparently first are not considered by most of search engines, while not sure about normal tags.
Obviously SERPS has to determine partial valu of the page by content, thus consider keywords / tags to some extend. What's your opinion on that.
Thank you.
