Backlinking unclarities.
I'll reply in English here to help other people with a similar answer and i will send a private message in Dutch to Onlinedesignmeubel in Dutch. These kind of pages indeed can get a very high authority. I own a couple of these domains myself and i have access to a lot of the data and a lot of people still use these kind of pages. Indeed it is forbidden to do link exchanges. Maybe the person who made the page linked to your competitors because he found their website and thought it would help the credibility of his page and not that your competitors asked him to place a link? If you can't get a link from them without placing a backlink I would either send the webmaster a message and try to explain to him that adding a link to your website will also help him because you have good website. But webmasters of pages like this are not always the ones who are generous to give away free links. But perhaps it's worth a shot. Or you can try to get links from better websites such as perhaps blogs about furniture? I took a look at your website and noticed that you have a nice set of product images. You can also get backlinks from pages like Pinterest and WeHeartIt. From my own experience i know that the people who use these two social media platforms are crazy about good looking furniture. So maybe this way you can take a different approuch to SEO and marketing then your competitors and stand out. Hope my answer helps you or someone with a similar issue

Placing backlinks on foreign websites.
Hi there, Link building is about earning popularity and authority endorsements by your audience --as a consequence of having effectively connected with them, they have found your site, services and products useful--, so if your Website is targeted to a specific audience in a country then, although is true that search engines will also take into consideration links from any other sources, what is natural and consistent with your site targeting, is that these links come from the country audience that the site is targeting. In order to implement this, identify which are the most popular sites, blogs, media in your industry for that country --and in general for that country too--, who are linking to your competitors in that country, who are your industry influencers in that country too... by doing this you will likely better understand and identify a scalable link building strategy to better connect with your audience in that specific country. I hope this helps!

Backlinking
It is ok to link to partner companies and related websites if you think the links are useful and they are relevant. I see this question all the time and the answer is always the same: Just use common sense. If you have a site that sells bicycles online linking to a real estate site in Chicago and a law office in New York it is going to raise some flags. If you have a site linking out to hundreds of other websites, ALL of which link to each other in some kind of 2-way, 3-way or more complicated network it is going to raise some flags. If you have a store selling bicycles in Chicago that links to its other locations in other cities that is fine. If you have a website design company linking out to some other local businesses, clients' sites, etc... that is probably fine. I have never heard anyone from Google come out and say "All reciprocal linking is bad". If you're doing it for SEO it's probably worth reconsidering. If you are doing it for your visitors and potential clients/shoppers it is probably ok. Common sense. In regard to the original question, I think Dimitri gave really good advice. If someone says they'll link to you if you link to them you should probably just walk away because they've said that to everyone else too.

Increase of Key Word density when adding related products
Hi Martin, Firstly, rather than keyword density, be more concerned about keyword frequency compared to your other content. My view would be to do one of two things Add more content - maybe an intro paragraph to that section of e-commerce site or maybe include customer reviews - something helpful and relevant to give your page more meat. Vary your product descriptions I know it's harder in e-commerce when you have similar products, we have a couple of large e-commerce clients and on-page optimisation, potential for accidental 'keyword stuffing' and cannibalization exists because products are so similar, all the best with it and hope this helped.

Importance of Keywords inside URL.
Yes and No... Yes from a user's point of view, its easier to remember and nicer to read - though length should be a consideration too. No from the point of view that exact match domains (and potentially folders within) are being targeted and down graded by Google... / it won't harm you but you may not gain as much as you once would have done.
