I'm not familiar with shopify so I can't tell you how to fit it, but I can tell you that it does need to be fixed. Simply doing this would make the difference:

This would be a much better than the current version and will prevent much fewer problems in the future.

I'm not greatly familiar with this topic but this is what I suggest.

• For starters: Don't Pay For Content. Not even for guest posts.

In my opinion, you should just be able to ask someone to write a guest post on a certain topic, maybe you think someone else's point of view might be better than your own or you just don't want to write about it. You both will benefit from the post if it is a well written post, it is marketed correctly and linked back to the authors site.

I think the ROI can be represented by traffic increases and user engagement. If you are running adwords then you might find a monetary return that way. If you are selling a product and the article helps direct readers to your site or product you can monitor the monetary gains that way.

Setup Goals tracking in google analytics and track visits through article to your products (you can create a funnel all the way through checkout if you want). I hope all o this makes sense. like I said above, I'm not really familiar with guest posts. Oh and don't forget to return the favor for the guest author!

I am not aware of another product that is comparable. However you should really be only targeting 1 maybe 2 keywords per page.

I have a client who attends an internet marketing meetup. I have been once myself. Good group of people but most seem lost when it comes to SEO and can't tell Black from White!

Well today my client emailed me and in the email she mentioned doing a trick to the title tags.

Client: "there is a trick to use with the title by putting keywords in quotes and parenthasis.   I'm sure you know how to do that little trick. If we do it in the title and in the first few lines of the verbage it will soar us near the top and hopefully on the first page of Google."

a few sentences later

"We could use a tad more content on the first page ( with parantesis and quotes) to boost us up in the ratings. At least it is an easy trick to do."

I have never heard of this. Has anyone else heard about this. Please share thoughts. It sounds completely bogus to me but I will be the first to admit that i don't know everything! However i would like to have more than just my opinion when I talk to my client.

The best way to deal with sitemaps on wordpress is to simply use a plugin. I can recommend the yoast seo plugin which has a built in sitemap feature or I have more recently been using the "google xml sitemap" plugin. Both will work fine. Both update automatically. So no need to update it manually. yoast creates a link to your sitemap link such (yourwebsite.com/sitemap-index.xml) and the other plugin creates one like this(yourwebsite.com/sitemap.xml). once your sitemap is created there they both offer a link to it and you can copy the link and submit it to GWT.

I don't really know how your sitemap got messed up but i hope that the info above can make your life a little easier down the road. if you decide to use one of the plugins, you won't have to worry about that problem again.

I would suggest checking your permalink structure. Go to Settings>>permalinks. I typically use the custom structure and just add /%postname%/ . If you are using a custom structure make sure it is correct.

That being said, After visiting your site I don't even see a "bands page" so you might want to also go through your source code and and see if there is an old link that didn't get removed. I found one today on a clients site. It was in a slider. So i just removed the link from the slider itself.

I would have to second Gary Lee on this one. Chris as great info as well but like Chris is saying you probably need to do some rewriting.

It's perfectly normal. It's not a url on its own but rather a "link" on the domain.  Basicly what you are seeing is the path to the image on that domain. For example if you put the picture on your computer in folder called house you might find it at mycomputer/pictures/house. Kinda the same concept.

I Have a client who is interested in qr codes. Not by my suggestion. I haven't heard much about them lately and was wonder if anyone thinks its worth the time.

If you think they are, then where is "the" place to get them at a reasonable cost?

I have found the error still existing using Xenu link sleuth tool. Not sure why webmaster tools doesn't detect it anymore, maybe it is being deindexed and will just take some time to go away. I will keep  waiting and trying anything i come across.

I recommend the SEOquake plugin for firefox or chrome. once installed just visit the site you want to audit and click the button in the tool bar, select page info for link info and keywords, then go back to the site and click the diagnosis button. for on-page analysis.

I would add, when writing content either on a blog or on pages or descriptions be very natural, try not to sound to much like a cheap car salesman and DON'T stuff the content with keywords. Also don't be afraid to make your reviews public. Good and bad, all work great for your site, use the bad reviews to improve service, also respond to them.

I was about to give you a different answer but as i was typing i changed my mind!

So at first i was thinking that you can't do this as it would create duplicate content but then i realized that was wrong cause it is only a link. DUH!

That being said, I suppose you could add the "about us" to the drop down but there is no point and it would look silly. I suppose you could do it and show them and hope they change their mind. If they are a tough client then maybe you can change the first "about us" to something else and not link it so it won't do anything and then add the second "about us" to the drop down. Otherwise I would just tell them that it is redundant and can make things confusing for the users.

Again, if they are a stubborn client then just simply give them what they want. Other than being confusing for the user it shouldn't hurt anything. Well I suppose it might make for a confusing sitemap, not that people actually use those.

After doing some digging around this is what I've come up with. Keep in mind that this is my opinion and not a guaranteed answer.

• Your URL is www.getmovin-in.com, this is the root domain.
• Ever page created on your site should be a sub-domain. e.g. www.getmove-in.com/sub-domain page.
• There should be no need to purchase these pages, they are just created and labeled neatly
• I have no idea what CMS they are using, it is not wordpress (which is what I work with). According to the developers site it is a hand built CMS. Not sure why they would do this when there are others already built and really easy to use.
• You basically have a non-profit/real-estate site. Here is a good example of that kind of site here in the states, http://www.hudhomestore.com

Unfortunately I have little experience in dealing with this type of site, but I can tell you, if you site returns a search result like region, city, price, etc, then you will have those ugly URLs. I want to say there is a way to deal with it but I'm not sure. You might try browsing through the blogs at distilled.net, or even contacting them since they are based in the UK I believe. (I am not good with European geography, forgive my ignorance! )

if you are using a CMS like wordpress, then you should be able to just simply rewrite the url after the ".com/" to what ever you want. I don't understand why you would need to buy a new url and 301 anything, even if your not using a CMS.

I am guessing based off what you wrote, that you have a "Main site page" with navigation somewhere on the top or side. If this is correct then i would say you need to stop buying new domains and simply create a "developments" tab in the navigation with a drop down listing the different pages and create simple clean urls for each page. e.g my: www.mywedsite.com/createuniqueurl

This is the best advice i can give with the information provided. It's also kinda difficult to explain!

I recently asked a question on here about how to fix my 404 error.

I figured it out, and now webmaster tools says it's not there any more. This as been confirmed by keeping watch for about a week now.

But Moz just crawled my site today and is for some reason showing an error. Am i missing something here or is Moz a little slow sometimes?

The site looks great. I like the parallax scrolling, I don't see it very often.

I can't really give my opinion on the on-page SEO since there is little content on the pages I looked at. Just continue to add content and be specific about your topics e.g. i saw on the link build page this sentence "Get direct links to each website and appear in the directories will allow businesses to be found by your customers and better positioning in Google.". (google translated this to english for me!) Other than the translation issues.....be specific about what kind of links....RELEVANT LInks. Not just any old link, that will get you in trouble!

All in all I think you are on the right track. If you are a Moz subscriber then the information the tools provides will be extremely helpful.

I believe this is most likely do to the launch of the new site and all. I was having an issue just getting to my account this morning (Wednesday) but the links were fixed fairly quickly.

I am sure the tools works great, i have yet to use it myself. They have made it clear to the users that their will be kinks in the site, but that it would be temporary. Just have patience and keep checking back.
